Upon arrival you will be taken on a 35 minute guided tour 650ft down into the massive superstructure itself. This is a guided tour where you will get to explore the gigantic hydyroeletric turbines and more. Museum tickets are also included for you to gain access to the Museum and see rare items as well. You will get to sightsee many different points of interests of the Hoover Dam such as the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Pat Tillman bypass bridge that crosses over the entire structure. The amazing walk across the top of Americas's largest Dam on the bridge is an amazing experience. Tour the internal and external portions of the Hoover Dam hydro-electric turbines structure as well. We pickup from all strip hotels, downtown hotels & hotels located no more than 3 miles away from the strip. For your convenience we offer three Hoover Dam tour times each day. 8am 10am 1pm The scheduled pickup times that are advertised on Viator are the approximate pickup times but not the exact times. The exact pickup time will be sent to you after your tour is purchased and one day before your tour as well. We use six passenger luxury Suv's on every Hoover Dam tour with multiple vehicles for bookings larger then six people.

Taylor was an absolute gem of a tour guide. This is tour is exactly what you are looking for coming out of Las Vegas! This takes all the guess work out of your trip to the dam, gets you inside for a tour, and gives you enough time to walk around the the exterior of the dam for your photos. Worth the price (especially with the ticket for the dam tour) and you should add this to your list!

Our driver/guide Daniel was on time picking us up at our hotel and very friendly. He was very engaging and had a wealth of knowledge about the Dam and surrounding areas. Being our first time going to the Hoover dam we felt this was an awesome way to go with someone with local knowledge and knew the procedures to get into the dam. Highly recommend this tour.

Billy was an excellent tour guide, possibly the best we’ve ever had. He knew the route, timing and provided a great deal of very interesting information around our tour. He’s very friendly, and he knows the park Rangers and staff by name. We highly recommend this tour if you’re considering a private tour of Hoover Dam.
Our driver, Daniel, made our trip very enjoyable. He provided great insight about how Hoover dam was selected and constructed. He was on time at our drive was very comfortable. I recommend this tour and to make sure Daniel is your driver and tour guide.

DO NOT book with the group tours, do the private tour. It’s more money, but it’s worth every penny! Ask for Daniel for exceptional service.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR! Over $800 for a glorified Uber ride. The "External Tour / Hidden Gems" portion of the tour amounted to pulling over on the side of the road and having the driver point out a few rocks. Additionally, his commentary came across as stilted and insincere. His attempts at humor were "dam" poor. We knew we were in trouble when he stopped to block out the price of the Hoover Dam tour on our tickets with a marker because he knew how ripped off we would feel when comparing that to the price of the entire trip. Do yourself a huge favor and find a different company for this service.

Please note that your driver did not rip you off regarding the tickets that he purchased on your behalf because he was doing his job. We have an agreement with the Hoover Dam management staff to scratch off the prices on the tickets so that they know not to charge our guests when they go down to take the Hoover Dam public tour. (Power Plant) Your driver has received many outstanding reviews from many guests without any similar complaints to yours. This tour to date has over 120 reviews from other guests that have taken the same non customisable tour prior to your experience. They paid the same price, they received the first class service in private luxury SUVs from the same tourguide yet they found value and were very satisfied with the overall experience. Many have even requested that same driver to be on their tour from reading reviews from prior guests that have mentioned his name. We respect your feedback. However, based upon the many positive reviews that we received regarding that driver and your clear misunderstanding in claiming the driver ripped you off when in actuality he was doing his job, we acknowlege that we cannot please everybody but we are committed to improving the experience for everybody regardless of any misunderstandings that might occur. We paid $220 per person for what was effectively only transportation to/from the Hoover Dam. On the upside, we DID get a bottle of water and a rice krispie treat for the ride home. (Note the sarcasm.) The tour itself was given by the federal employees while the tour guide (driver) returned to the city to pick up another group. Quite a scam.

Please note, we use Luxury SUVs with professional tourguides with refreshments included not unprofessional drivers with regular cheap cars from Uber that your suggesting. Uber Black premium SUVs are 250.00 one way and the prices surge based on demand. They may take you there, but it is very difficult to find an Uber Black SUV back to the strip because they only get paid when the ride begins not during the 35 minute drive to pick you up. This is why travelers often get stranded at the Hoover Dam. (Ask Google A.I.) In the description of this tour it clearly states that the power plant tours are public not private. (Not A Scam) By your own admission, Federal Employees are the ones who have special clearance to take tourists down into the power plant and all tour companies that offer tours to the Hoover Dam must go through the exact same process of transfering their guests to the Federal tourguides which they are the only ones that are Fedrally authorized to give tours of the power plant and generator room. Hoover Dam is Federal government fascility. Our pirvate tour is non customisable and our guests are there for a total of 2 hours in which its only a 1hr 10 minute round trip to amd from the Hoover Dam. (35.8 Miles From Vegas) This means that your driver has enough time to drop you off, go back to pickup a 2nd group and arrive back to the Hoover Dam 50 minutes prior to your departure time. In other words, your driver conducted a 2nd tour with time to spare as he returned back to you well before your departure time. The reason why you're aware of this is because our drivers are trained to be fully transparent in case guests want to leave behind any belonings. If so, the driver can keep it safe & secure compartment up front with him while they bare away. Some tour companies stay in wait while others rotate. This is a normal practice that is 100% efficient not a scam in which we have successfully completed hundreds of tours. Despite the misunderstaning we will strive to do better and see where we can improve.
