Had a great time. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, personable and funny. Learned a lot and tried some beer in some places we never would’ve otherwise found. Highly recommend!
This was a fun tour to do. Interesting pubs and we actually learnt quite a lot about Berlin. Our guide Derek was awesome good strong voice we could hear clearly what he was saying.
It was a fun and informative time. Darren was very lively, knowledgeable, jovial and happy to answer any questions. The other people on the group were so pleasant. As the tour went on we all seemed to click and enjoy playful banter.
Top tour I’ve been on for ages!!! Darren (English chap living in Berlin) is very knowledgable about the city and the pubs/beer - plus he has a great sense of humour!!! A must for a beer loving tourist !!! Please note it’s not just a pub crawl - you learn things about Berlin and the war years and bombings.
went solo , ended up with 5 friends I made.. darren was excellent guide . i thought we were going to beer gardens , but went to pubs that tied in with different eras in germany .. had a blast , but then again it was a beer tour
I did the Historic Pubs of Berlin & Beer Tour last Wednesday and it was definitely the highlight of my trip to Berlin. Our tour guide Darren was excellent. He had fantastic depth and breath of knowledge and was a great raconteur. He established a rapport from the get go and it felt like we were out for a couple of pints with a friend. I would highly recommend this tour!
A great experience - not only bars and beers, but also a history lesson. We were able to walk around the centre of Berlin and see both its historical locations and little bits of local life and culture (Späti was a lovely experience, as well as Kneipe!)
Darren did an exceptional job
We had an awesome time with Darren! Learned so much about Berlin history as we put on a lot of steps going from pub to pub. We covered a lot of ground metaphorically and literally. Darren is a really good storyteller and mindful of keeping the group happy and safe. Highly recommend as a way to learn about Berlin and see some cool beer history!
Darren was a wonderful guide. Really made an effort for the group to get to know each other and kept the conversation going. Explained each stop/drink - we had 4 different kinds of beer and 1 shot (will not tell of what to keep surprise). Lots of walking and commentary on things we passed so it's not all pubs/drinking.
