This is an unrushed walking tour to discover safely and smoothly the hidden sites of the Medina and its souks with a savvy licensed tour-guide and a good story teller. Enjoy 3 to 4 hours in of a flexible SLOW PACE walk in interlinked alleys of the Medina, visiting its bakeries, traditional ovens, caravanserai, and other ancient treasures.You will explore authentic sites that only a few tourists can see. Some of them.are not even open to tourists. While walking, you will not only learn the true history and the story of every district but its ancient roots as well. The focus will be also on the workshops and the old sections of the souks of Marrakesh.Highly recommended to Curious travellers who like history and culture and as a tour to start with your holiday in Marrakech. From our meeting point Café restaurant Argana which is located in the big square Jamaa El Fna we will start with Bab Ftouh : one of the oldest inside gates and one of souks entrances of Marrakech.
We will visit a local bakery
One of the oldest Mosques of Marrakech dating back to 16th century and located in section used to be a residential quarter of Moroccan Jews ✡️ "TOSHAVIM "
We will visit Foudouk Sarsar One of the oldest caravan inns of Marrakech
We will visit a cooking oven to where locals bring their traditional dish known as "Tangia"to be slowly cooked
We will see the Mausoleum of Sidi Abdel Aziz Tabaa. He was one the seven Saints of Marrakech.
Souk where the auction of leader skins still takes place.apart from friday.
We Will continue waking through the the workshops of blacksmiths
We will enjoy the fragrances of the genuine and fresh spices market "la place des épices ".Visiting a local spices stall is optional.
The most famous and the busiest section of the souks of Marrakech
The tour will end in this amazing public square where various performances take place square snake charmers;musicians,storyteller s and more. Thank you

Mohamed makes the hidden tour routes interesting with his vast knowledge of history of Marrakech. We learnt a lot from the tour. Wish we had it earlier so we would have more time to explore the souks.. The pace was just nice and he even shared some recommendations on places to go when he learnt that we will be going to Casablanca and Fez.. highly recommended tour with Mohamed for those who want to know the hidden places in Marrakech!!

Thanks to a recommendation from friends, we (a family with 3 children, 10 and 14 years old) booked the half day guided tour of the hidden sights with Azim on our first day in Marrakesh. It was a wonderful day and Azim was the best guide, we could have wished for. He totally adapted to our needs as a family. We explored the Medina and souks together, he told us lots about the history, languages and the moroccan culture and life. We visited lots of different artisans (baker, bookbinder), learned how belts and bags are made out of leather, visited a traditional pharmacy and spice shop and tasted some fresh olives and other local specialities. He also gave us lots of tips how to avoid tourist traps during our stay in Morocco and how to negotiate but stay fair in the souks. When the kids needed a break after a couple of hours in the souks, we stopped in a lovely little traditional cafe and for our little ones Azim gave them a little challenge (counting and finding a certain number of cats on our tour) to keep them interested and going. After our tour, he even sent me links to some of the history and things we discussed so we could read in a bit more detail about it. We had the most wonderful time and I cannot recommend Azim enough !

Mohammed showed us spots we would have otherwise missed just walking around. He led us through entryways to a neighborhood stove where we tried fresh bread, as well as locals’ lunch cooking over hot coals. He led us through various souks and coached us on dealing with vendors, and we bought some local spices (with no pressure). He led us at a comfortable pace and was easy to talk to, providing lots of history and information without being overwhelming. He also kept our two teens engaged, which is a feat of its own.
