You will be picked up from your hotel or bed and breakfast in Naples or Sorrento and head by highway for approximately 30 minutes. Arrive at the Herculaneum ruins. According to legend, the city was founded by Hercules. This residential city for the Roman aristocracy was buried under a blanket of mud and pyroclastic materials following the eruption of Mount Vesuvio in 79 AD. Its discovery occurred in 1709. The driver will wait in the parking lot until you are done and transfer you back to your destination.

Herculaneum catches your eye, as does Pompeii because you can have the opportunity to travel back in time as you move through its streets. But despite the relevance of these ruins, the legacy left to us by its inhabitants and the excavations carried out to date, in my view the management does not develop an adequate museum discourse based on good posters, in different languages, customer service staff at the foot of the city, etc... I felt a little let-up. Still, it is worth visiting and going to your own.
