Great Tour

Well organised. Changed ferry time, so not so rushed a start. Pick-up on time. Guide in Tallin, Irene was excellent. She walked us past all the best locations, view spots via an easy route.

USD 168 price tag for a tour where the best parts was the self-tour

We had a seamless pickup by a wonderful gentleman, a wonderful cruise ride on the MyStar, but everything went downhill after we met the tour guide in Tallinn. She hurriedly showed us two places in the new town IN THE CAR! That too a tiny car for 4 adults + the guide. We had all of 15 minutes to tour the massive Tsar's palace grounds on foot, entirely by ourselves with Google Gemini offering more details about the history, architecture, evolution and maintenance of this lovely place. She then drove us around some new constructions in new Tallin, pointing things out from the car, with us having to request pictures and hurriedly step out of the car for 1-2 minutes to grab a few photos because she was just hesitant to give us any time anywhere but the viewpoint over Old Tallinn and the Tsar's Palace. We had barely an hour with her in Old Town, and she basically took us to the main viewpoint where we got to spend another 10-15 minutes, the Alexander Nevsky cathedral, Viru Gate, Fat Margaret Tower, Old Hansky, the square, gave us a few restaurant recommendations, and left us just shy of the 3 hours we were supposed to have with her. I then grabbed lunch at a place NOT recommended by her, and crafted an itinerary for chocolates, marzipan, souvenirs, and walking along the St. Catherine's passage, and had a much better time on that itinerary. What is baffling is the USD 168 price tag for a tour where the best part - the cruise - was USD 35, and the best part of the trips were self-taught and self-toured.

No value for money

This was really not worth the experience. The tour guide showed us some spots on the car. Would have preferred being shown around properly, especially the old town. I booked the tour so I wouldnt have to do my homework.

The ferry to and from...

The ferry to and from Tallinn was really enjoyable. The ferry is beautiful with things to do, places to eat, fun shopping. It goes by quickly and the view from the window is beautiful. The guide in Tallinn took too much time of the tour. While she was nice, the tour was way too detailed. I can't remember half of it. I think a 2 hour guided tour would have been enough or at least one quick coffee stop in between. I was starving by the time we got to go for lunch at 3 p.m. Then we only had 2.5 hours to eat and shop. It felt rushed.

Amazing tour and service

They picked us up from our hotels in limos and dropped us back in limos. The cruise ship was a luxury cruise ship. Our guide was Estonian and spoke fluent English. He picked us up in his car to take us to the old city, spoke about the old city for a good two hours and then dropped us back at the ferry. This is the best experience I've ever had on a tour in terms of all around service.
