Oodi is Helsinki’s stunning central library, opened in 2018. Known for its striking modern architecture, Oodi is more than just a library—it’s a vibrant community hub offering books, creative spaces, a cinema, café, and panoramic city views. Located opposite Parliament House, Oodi has quickly become a symbol of Finnish innovation, learning, and open culture.
The Helsinki Olympic Stadium, opened in 1938 and designed by Yrjö Lindegren and Toivo Jäntti, is Finland’s largest stadium and a landmark of functionalist architecture. It famously hosted the 1952 Summer Olympics and remains a major venue for sports and events after its latest renovation in 2020.
The Sibelius Monument is a famous sculpture in Helsinki, Finland, honoring composer Jean Sibelius. Created by Eila Hiltunen in 1967, it features over 600 steel pipes and a bust of Sibelius, symbolizing his music and legacy.
Uspenski Cathedral is Helsinki’s striking red-brick Eastern Orthodox church, known for its golden domes and hilltop views. It’s the largest Orthodox cathedral in Western Europe.
Helsinki Cathedral is a neoclassical white church with green domes, overlooking Senate Square. Completed in 1852, it’s one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Kauppatori, or Market Square, is Helsinki’s lively waterfront market, famous for its local food, crafts, and vibrant seaside atmosphere. We’ll spend about 30 minutes here, giving you time to enjoy Finnish cuisine or a light refreshment while soaking in the market’s unique charm.
Suomenlinna is a historic 18th-century sea fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site located just off the coast of Helsinki. During our visit, we’ll spend about two hours exploring its scenic pathways and fascinating history together.
Kauppatori means “Market Square” in Finnish. After we return from Suomenlinna by ferry, our tour concludes here. You’ll have free time to explore the charming stalls, sample local treats, and enjoy the lively atmosphere at your own pace for the rest of the day. The tour is aimed to end around 4pm.

We had a great time in Helsinki. Alec shared with us the history and cultural heritage of the city. My favorite part was the tasting. Mukki are delicious!
We had a fantastic time in Helsinki. Peka and Alex were knowledgeable and friendly. The tour felt relax and easy going. Very glad we took this tour.
I had been several times visiting Helsinki but never have really had the time to explore. This tour was interesting anf covering a lot about Finlands' culture and heritage. I recommend it.
The small group was wonderful. We made many stops and our driver and tour guide worked around the traffic jams of the Pride Parade. Going to the island via ferry was a great bonus. Would recommend this tour.
Alex was pleasant, informative, polite, and gave a good tour.
We were picked up at our hotel, the last of 7 passengers. We had a driver and a guide. The van style had our 2 seats facing backwards. Which isn't ideal for motion sickness and remembering when the guide says, to your right, etc. Past that to the tour. We had a city tour that was very confusing. We quickly realized that we were traveling as a group with 1 or 2 other vans, that's confusing too. As we'd stop it was confusing if we were to follow our van's guide or connect with the other van. Sometimes a 3rd van mingled with us, other times they did their own tour. It was hard to know. Then the worst was having the guide from van 2 on speaker phone giving a driving tour. First, they were behind us, so we had passed the building he started talking about. But most confusing was, we had him and his van on speaker but we were muted. So we listened without interaction. And that vehicle was able to ask questions or had private jokes we weren't privy to. It was like an auto tour podcast. We were dropped at the market for lunch. Tip: eat in the building, not outside, food looked so much better. There are bathrooms in the building too. After lunch we took a ferry to Suomenlinna for a walking tour. Tour lasted a little longer than we expected, I think due to each van waiting on each other. It was a chaotic tour. Not completely bad, but almost as if this company is new and doesn't have it down yet. The backward seats are horrible. And each van guide should know the buildings to point out. I paid $332 to ride facing the other passengers, struggle to know who to follow and listen to another van's chitchat.
Highly recommend this tour. Get to see the key sights with great commentary and information from the guide Alex and driver/guide Pekka, both amazing at providing information, local context and made it an incredible day.
This was the perfect tour for my first visit to Helsinki. It combined the city’s most important landmarks with a visit to Suomenlinna, one of Finland’s most significant historical sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Finnish history and culture. Throughout the tour, we learned about Helsinki’s unique blend of Scandinavian and Russian influences, visited many of the city’s iconic landmarks, and gained a much deeper appreciation for Finland’s history and way of life. The highlight for me was the ferry ride to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. Built in the 18th century across a group of islands, the fortress offers spectacular coastal scenery while telling the story of Finland’s Swedish and Russian past. Walking through its historic fortifications, tunnels, churches, and peaceful pathways felt like stepping back through centuries of Nordic history. The tour was well organized, transportation was seamless, and the pace struck a great balance between guided commentary and free time to explore, take photographs, and simply enjoy the surroundings. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Helsinki for the first time. It provides an excellent overview of the city while including one of Finland’s most iconic attractions, making it an outstanding value and one of the highlights of my trip.
