The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM; Arabic: المتحف المصرى الكبير al-Matḥaf al-Maṣriyy al-Kabīr), also known as the Giza Museum, is an archaeological museum under construction in Giza, Egypt, about 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. The Museum will host over 100,000 artifacts from ancient Egyptian civilization, including the complete Tutankhamun collection, and many pieces will be displayed for the first time.[4] With 81,000 m2 (872,000 sq ft) of floor space, it will be the world's largest archeological museum.[5] It is being built as part of a new master plan for the Giza Plateau, known as "Giza 2030".

The guide is nice but does not seem to know much about the museum or the topic. We had only 30 minutes in the galleries without guiding. No water. The guide wanted to take us shopping outside the museum. It is basically just a taxi.
We had a very nice time with our guide Salwa, and our driver Hamdi. Salwa has much knowledge of ancient Egypt and explained many parts of history. The GEM is well worth the visit, although King Tut's items are not available yet. But there is much to see and learn. Thank you Salwa and Hamdi for an enjoyable and informative day.
A wonderful trip and experience and highlight of the week. Fatima was our host and was amazing and helpful and knowledgeable. Driver and car - the best ! The museum is truly wonderful and one of the best ever. Great shops and restaurants available and made this a weeks highlight for us. This is the best tour of the week! No fuss and no hidden deals ! Indeed, the price here on line and that we paid was far too cheap - so extra deserved! Thank you !
