Description

This half-day city tour is the ideal introduction to Marrakech. You'll unravel the city's history and culture by visiting some of its top attractions including Koutoubia Mosque (not inside), Bahia Palace and Ben Youssef Medrassa. We'll kick off the tour at the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque. Towering over Marrakech at 70 meters high, its minaret is the tallest building in the city and can be seen from almost all parts of the old town. You can admire its intricate stone carvings and pink-hued facade as your guide reveals more about its history. Next on the agenda is a special one, Marrakech's crown jewel - Bahia Palace. Wander through an extensive network of courtyards, gardens, and ornate pavilions, learning about its colorful past as you go. Last, we will visit Ben Youssef Medrassa, a historical site today that used to be the largest and most important Islamic school in Morocco.

Great visit!

Group very nice! Especially an English family! Visits are well distributed not too long not too short. The explanations of the guide were very good, and we had lunch in a restaurant with typical decoration and a very nice music orchestra! It was great! Personally I enjoyed the guide!

To visit without fail

From Baïa Palace to Saadian Tombs, you should not miss anything about Marrakech’s palaces and monuments. Also to be discovered after the work taking place there at the moment, the Koranic school.

The guide's English was a little difficult to understand, went on a little bit too much on certain historical aspects. The sights were good didn't need the herbalist shop visit towards the end.

Dreadful

I was picked up on time at my hotel and we proceeded to the meetup point to meet our guide. There everything went downhill unfortunately. On total there were 18 people in the group and one tour guide so it was difficult to hear anything. Secondly our tour guide was constantly on his damn mobile and was always distracted by one thing or another. Sometimes felt he forgot we were there!! He headed to a museum which was closed didn't bother to inform the group but instead turned around and kept walking without a word

The tour proceeded in a downpour. No consideration was given to reschedule as you could not leave the taxi. Complete waste of time.

This tour was not the best, but good...

This tour was not the best, but good enough to get you familiar with the area to later go sightseeing on your own. I felt the tour guide didn't give a lot of information and didn't see a whole lot. However it was just ok to me.

Great tour, lovely efficient guide...

Great tour, lovely efficient guide. Monuments were beautiful and the history fully explained. There was a bit of walking which was great as it took you through non touristic parts outside the medina wall. We stopped at a cake shop to sample some of the local cakes. Also stopped for lunch at a designated restaurant which had a mixture of tourist and locals there. The food was actually some of the best I had in Morocco and you were able to enjoy wine with your meal which is rare in the medinas in Morocco. The pace of the tour was quite relaxed and the length perfect. Also one person was not picked up due to a mix up and the tour guide changed the schedule slightly to allow her to join the tour pretty much from the start which I thought was excellent service.
