Jemma el Fnaa is a square and market place in Marrakesh's medina quarter (old city). It remains the main square of Marrakesh, used by locals and tourists.
The mosque was founded in 1147 by the Almohad caliph Abd al-Mu'min right after he conquered Marrakesh from the Almoravids. A second version of the mosque was entirely rebuilt by Abd al-Mu'min around 1158, with Ya'qub al-Mansur possibly finalizing construction of the minaret around 1195.This second mosque is the structure that stands today. It is considered a classic and important example of Almohad architecture and of Moroccan mosque architecture generally.
The Saddian Tombs are a historic royal necropolis in Marrakesh, Morocco, located on the south side of the Kasbah Mosque, inside the royal kasbah (citadel) district of the city. They date to the time of the Saadian dynasty and in particular to the reign of Ahmad al-Mansur (1578–1603), though members of Morocco's monarchy continued to be buried here for a time afterwards. The complex is regarded by many art historians as the high point of Moroccan architecture in the Saadian period due to its luxurious decoration and careful interior design.Today the site is a major tourist attraction in Marrakesh.
The Menara Gardens are a historic public garden and orchard in Marrakech, Morocco. They were established in the 12th century (circa 1157) by the Almohad Caliphate ruler Abd al-Mu'min. Along with the Agdal Gardens and the historic walled city of Marrakesh, the gardens have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. The gardens are laid out around a central water basin and reservoir, next to which is a pleasure pavilion dating in its current form from the 19th century. The reservoir and its pavilion, often framed in pictures against the background of the High Atlas Mountains to the south, are considered one of the iconic views and symbols of Marrakesh.

Went to the meeting place, no notice, no show. Tried to call multiple times and no answer, no apologies. They eventually issued the refund after but no courtesy call, no explanation. In all the years of travelling, this is a first from anything we booked in Viator. Disappointing and ruined our plans for the day.
A good cycle round Marrakesh. Perhaps do a shorter route and have more time for photo stops would have made it even better.
We went on a bike tour with Ziad today, which made a lot of fun! We we’re to only ones doing the tour, so that was really nice actually! It’s a super nice way to get to know the city and see other parts then you’ll do by walking through it. Ziad spoke with genuine enthusiasm about the city’s history, culture, and sights, which made it really enjoyable to listen to him. On top of that, his English was excellent. Meanwhile, we cycled through narrow alleys in the Medina and modern parks in the new city. We didn’t miss a thing and had a really wonderful morning!
Khawla, our guide was just fabulous and made this tour very enjoyable. She had such a lovely personality and was so willing to share all of her knowledge and experience of life in Marrakech. We covered a large amount of the new town and old town and learned so much about Morocco and Marrakech. Khawla took us for tea/coffee and gave us a lesson on how to serve mint tea. This was a great tour and a really lovely experience to start our trip.
Our tour guide was Siad who was excellent. It concentrated on the less touristy parts like the Jewish Quarter and less visited Souks. Although we did go to the main sights. Siad was very knowledgeable and we learnt something interesting history about Marrakech and Morocco. The roads are busy as were the narrow Souks, we loved it but probably not for the faint hearted.
We did a great bike ride through Marrakesh yesterday. Our guide Karim guided us through the bustling medina and showed us a lot of Marrakesh. We have been in the old and the new city and learned a lot about the culture and the people. The tour is a MUST if you are in Marrakesh.
Great way to get to know Marrakech, tour of the main points with several stops for photos and explanations. Very helpful and attentive guide. Super recommend
A real adventure - you need to be brave and road aware. I wouldn't recommend for a novice cyclist but if reasonably confident then it's worth doing.
Super visit Yazid best city guide Visit of monuments and especially moments of life and artisans (hamam bread pottery) which makes the moment very pleasant
The bike tour was a pearl in our stay in Marrakesch. Karim guided us by introducing us to corners of the city that we would not have known just walking around, also providing explanations on the main sites to visit. Absolutely recommended!🔝
