Our first stop will be at a ranch to ride horseback, then we will go to the basilica of Higüey and we will also visit the market where the natives sell their agricultural products. We will have a delicious lunch with typical food in the Ana mulla river, then we will go to a typical house where coffee, cocoa and Mama Juana are harvested and processed, we will go to a tobacco factory and an art school. We finish the tour in Macao beach where you can bathe. and then back to your hotel.

Great places to visit, surprisingly enjoyed the cigar factory a lot. The souvenir store was a bit crowded so it wasn’t the most pleasant and I thought we’d shop the fruit market but we breezed through. Overall we enjoyed it
This was one of the best excursions I’ve ever done. The driver and guide (Tito and Theo) were amazing. They explained everything and waited for us through every section of the tour. It was a small group and felt very personal. I would highly recommend this trip for everyone. Worth every penny.
Overall not a bad experience but not completely happy. Definitely worth for the money. Tour was advertised as 5 hours but it took 10 hours. 2 hours was spent in the van picking other guests. Traffic accounted for another 1 hour. Proper time management by the tour guide could have reduced the tour time by atleast 2 more hours. We couldn’t go inside the church since a mass was going on. Tour guide did not provide enough history of the town or any places we visited. We wasted one hour in a gift shop that was a complete waste of time and 30 mins at a beach. Horse riding at ranch was a good experience. Market was filthy but gave a good experience of real experience of the island. We just walked through it and didn’t stop to buy. Tour guide Robinson was friendly but he could improve his English and provide more history of the island. Not a very memorable trip.
It was a nice day tour. Wester was a wonderful tour guide. Very cooperative and helpful who drove the vehicle very carefully. I have one suggestion to improve. Give a time window of 5-10 mins for pickup. Customers waiting for about an hour is not appreciated by anyone.
If you’re interested in culture, local traditions, and history, this is a tour you absolutely shouldn’t miss. The pace was comfortable and never felt exhausting. Our guide, Teo, was exceptional - his time management was outstanding, and the entire itinerary was organized perfectly. Everything ran smoothly, and he went above and beyond to accommodate the needs of everyone in the group. The fellow travelers on this tour were wonderful as well, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It was a memorable journey, and I’ll look back on it with great fondness. Highly recommended!
Just enough of everything to get an understanding of the DR and its culture. Dayo was a great guide-offered just enough information but not too much.
We really enjoyed this cultural tour. Our guide Teo made it 10x better. He was super hilarious and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed horse back riding, and witnessing how coffee and chocolate are made. It was interesting. Thank you Teo for being an honest and amazing guide.
The meeting and pickup went smoothly; there were no delays. First, my girlfriend rode a horse, which she enjoyed. After that, we drove to a cathedral, which looked very beautiful. However, we did not go inside. Then we walked through a local market hall (the guide meant well). A beautiful experience, but we won't be able to get those images out of our heads so quickly. For example, we saw slaughtered animals hanging without refrigeration at 10 o'clock. After that, we went to a nice family who treated us to a delicious meal. Then we went into their garden and received a tour about cocoa and coffee; we bought coffee and sugar. After that, we went to the cigar factory, where we could roll our own cigar. I had a lot of fun doing that. After that, we drove to Macao Beach, a public beach. The beach and the sea were very beautiful. After that, we went back to the hotel.

What a tremendous excursion. Theo was awesome and so was our driver. The pick up was early and the conversation while riding was very informative and entertaining. For the value, this is the best excursion I've ever been on. Each stop was the right amount of time, the meal was excellent and everyone at each of the stops were gracious. When I return to Punta Cana, I will absolutely do this excursion again. Great job Theo and thanks for a great day! Mark
