Guided tour of the MET in Spanish (Metropolitan Museum of Art)

Our visit to the MET was an incredible experience, and it was all thanks to Clara. He made the visit much more than just a simple tour of a museum. You can tell his training and knowledge, but above all, his enormous passion for art, which he conveys in a fascinating and very approachable manner. The two hours fly by. He perfectly chose the route to show us the most important parts of the museum, something that is greatly appreciated considering how vast the MET is. Without a doubt, one of the best guided tours we have done. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to discover the MET.

Our guided tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art was undoubtedly one of the most special moments of our trip. We were lucky enough to do it with Clara, a Spanish guide who did the whole experience in our language, which made a complete difference. Clara not only masters the content, but has a way of telling and connecting that makes each work come to life. The visit was dynamic, enjoyable and very well structured, combining history, curiosities and context in a natural and enveloping way. At no time did it get heavy; on the contrary, it flew past us. My best friend and I loved it, because we felt that we were not only seeing the museum, but really understanding and living it. We highly recommend this experience, especially with Clara if you have the opportunity. It is a wonderful way to discover the MET from another perspective. On the other hand, his selection of works is wonderful, I think we would not have been able to enjoy the museum as much if we had gone on our own. Thanks Clara. It explains the context of the artists, their motivations and the circumstances in which they created their works, but it does so enjoyably that it never feels like a class, but an exciting conversation. Get you to understand not only what you’re seeing, but why it’s important. Besides, his attitude is always kind and attentive. He is watching the pace of the group, answers all the questions enthusiastically and knows how to adapt to the interests of each person. You can tell that he deeply enjoys what he does, and that gets infected. In short, visiting the museum with Clara completely transforms the experience: you go from looking at pictures to really understanding them. Undoubtedly, an exceptional guide that turns art into something close, fascinating and memorable.

The tour of the Met gave us a quick, complete and very enjoyable panorama about the main galleries and hidden gems that has one of the most important museums in the world. It is an unmissable thing to do at the end of the tour we stayed to lunch in the museum and toured in publicized those galleries that we had liked the most. We had a fantastic experience on our guided tour of the Met. The museum is immense, but thanks to Clara we were able to tour for two hours the most outstanding works without feeling overwhelmed. His way of explaining is close, didactic and very enjoyable; he transmits his passion for art from the first minute and gets you to enjoy each room. In addition, we were curious about some pieces of Ancient Egypt and, when we told her about it, Clara explained it beautifully and even made a small detour to show us those works. It was a detail that made the visit even more special. We left delighted and eager to repeat on another visit. An exceptional guide!

Clara showed us the museum super well. The MET is huge and yet the visit gave to know all the key parts, showed us the best pieces and with many curiosities that make it super enjoyable. I would recommend it without a doubt, because as a guide it has no equal. His high knowledge of art history and as a guide are noted.

I loved the guided tour that Clara gave us!! You can see that you know the museum and the pieces thoroughly, very enriching, entertaining and constructive. The truth is that the two hours fly by, and even more so with the anecdotes he's telling. I would repeat without hesitation, she is a great professional.

I chose the tour because it's Spanish, and we don't speak English. We thought Spanish would be a "portunhol", spoken in Argentina, Chile... but no, it's Spanish from Spain. The guide is super attentive, friendly, but had a lot that we didn't understand. However, what left us disappointed was that she was seeing that we were not understanding, and in the end, in the farewell, she did not tell us that the Museum gave audio-guides in Portuguese, since we were going to stay at the museum. We found out this with the museum girl when we were already leaving.
