Guided Rock & Roll Walking Tour of Soho

Description
Explore London’s West End with me your 100% five star, music obsessed guide. I won’t just show you the sights; I’ll take you on my personal tour of Soho’s rock ’n’ roll soul, packed with energy, laughter and insider stories you won’t find on any plaque. We’ll visit the doorway where Paul met Linda, the club where Hendrix made his official UK debut and silenced Britain’s guitar gods and the building where Jagger and Richards auditioned for the Stones. Stand where Bowie became Ziggy, and where Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis tore up early London stages. See the former Sex Pistols home, and recreate the Oasis "Morning Glory" cover. We’ll stop by the studios that birthed Bowie’s Space Oddity, Elton’s “Your Song,” The Beatles’ “Hey Jude,” and George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord.” We’ll even uncover the venue where Genesis played as Garden Wall and The Police as The Aces in 82. Bring your sense of fun, every stop has a story, every corner has a secret and I’ll share them all with you.

Great tour! High energy! You could tell Grant was passionate about the topic. Fantastic information. Highly recommend!
It was a wonderfull Rock & Roll tour through Soho. Grant is a good story teller with great stories about the famous musicians and bands. We enjoyed the tour very much!
Grant was a wonderful guide! He’s very knowledgeable and his anecdotes are very interesting. He’s very genial and included all of the group in his remarks. His walking pace was perfect and while we covered a lot of ground he also built in time for pauses when appropriate. Afterward he sent us a summary of sites we’d seen and a couple of Spotify playlists. Highly recommend!
Grant was an excellent guide with a wealth of knowledge of stories and histories of music legends. He was friendly, approachable, and considerate of the participants as we spent two hours navigating the SOHO area. His communications prior to and after the tour were excellent and he shared additional information and playlists after the tour. He provided a truly remarkable experience that was suited to our interests and needs. I would highly recommend Grant’s tour!
So happy we booked this tour with Grant! Definitely the highlight of our trip to London! Grant is a great person and a wealth of London and Rock & Roll knowledge. The tour started at the London Palladium (site of many legendary concerts by The Beatles, Stones, Jimi Hendrix and just about everyone else that matters) - from there he took us to all the important rock & roll landmarks including where David Bowie and Oasis shot their album covers - for a Bowie ultrafan like me, this was complete joy! And Grant took photos of us to recreate the exact album cover - just amazing. From there many other highlights including the famed Marquee Club, The Ship, Sounds of the Universe records (where Brian Jones first met 2 guys named Mick and Keith) and the building where Bernie Taupin wrote My Song for Elton John. Too many more to mention- suffice it to say that we didn’t want the tour to end! Don’t hesitate to book this time with Grant - I will definitely book with him again next time we’re in London!! Highly highly recommend!!
Went on this tour with James he was lovely and very interesting, he made it fun information I didn't actually know. Will definitely recommend and will do again. Gabrielle and Judi
We had a great time on this tour, even though we weren't much into the topic of rock and roll before. Grant was a wonderful guide and took the time to show us around Soho and tell us a lot of fascinating facts about its history. Brilliant tour that we definitely will (and already have) recommend to our friends. 10/10
Hello Laura Thank you so much for your wonderful review its always very much appreciated. I hope that you had a fabulous time in London? Kind regards Grant
Our guide, Grant, was so knowledgeable about the 60's and the talent that originated from Britian and influenced the world music scene. He took us to places that were unassuming, but so full of history. It would be a shame if this information dissappeared. Maybe Grant could write a guide or catelogue something on the Internet so these places are not forgotten. Enjoyed the experience.
Jennifer thank you for your wonderful review. It was my pleasure sharing Soho and its rock & roll history with you, your husband and friends. Safe travels back to Australia. Kind regards Grant
Without a doubt one of the most interesting and entertaining tours in London! Grant has a wealth of knowledge of the city, Soho and all genres of music that have come in/out of London. Pure passion exudes from Grant which makes the tour an enlightening experience. 100% recommend!
Dear Brittney It was my pleasure spending the morning with you and Ryan showing you the many rock & roll sites of Soho. Thank you for my wonderful review and I wish you safe travels and enjoy the football match on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. Kind regards Grant
