We had a wonderful day to see lots of things around the Alexandria Library. Moreover Caitadel of Qaitbay is worth visiting, and enjoying the quiet Mediteranean Sea from the top of the fortress. The tour guide Sherhan, very friendly and knowledgeable, helped me and my wife to capture many memorable photos. Mostaga is a good and polite driver. Today, we really enjoyed the day with delicious fish lunch.
This was just so-so. It was a long drive in a rickity tiny van. We were not offered any water which was supposed to be included. The included lunch was just street food in a shop. Most on the tour refused to eat there. The ones that stayed, ate french fries. It seemed the guide probably makes commission at the kiosk. Our driver made up for it with humor and laughter. He was fantastic.
My sister and I really wanted to visit Alexandria despite being based in Cairo, and this trip made it happen! We visited the main areas I wanted to see in Alexandria, including everything listed on the tour stops. The lunch was at a small local restaurant with a view of the Mediterranean Sea across a busy road. Pickup and drop off was at our hotel. There is a quick stop about halfway to and from Alexandria for a bathroom break and any refreshments you want to purchase. I brought a book to read during the long drive there and back, so I didn’t mind the time spent in the van. Our tour guide was also amazing and gave us much insight into all of the stops along the way. I would recommend this tour!
Very good guide yusep excellent recommend the walk is worth the library do not miss it and the fortress of the lighthouse. Thank you.
The tour was good with our guide Sherry providing a great experience and details about the history of the city. The tour was well timed and Sherry was helpful, polite and accommodating. We upgraded the included lunch in the tour to a Sea Facing restaurant named "Fish Market" near the Citadel area for $5 per person and it was a good decision. The food was good and the view was nice, while the restaurant may not be truly upmarket.
Nersin was a nice, personable guide. I enjoyed her enthusiasm. I really enjoyed being near the harbor and the citadel.
The tour guy was ok he was nice but not people skill . I gif like the City but i did not like the tour guy.
Our guide Erynia was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We highly recommend her. We enjoyed the visit to the underground Tombs in particular.
Tour operator OVERCHARGED us $104 for 3 people, was 1/2 hr late picking us up. Only 20 min allowed at 2 of locations, one being the library Driver did not speak English
Great day out in Alexandria. We had a lovely young lady as our tour guide, she was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. Our driver was fantastic too, he picked us up on schedule. It was a very long day as we hit a lot of traffic on the return to Cairo but the driver did a great job, especially given the time behind the wheel.
