This is an amusement park essentially. There are limited events and the emphasis from my perspective is the view and some excellent hiking.

Operator response

Hi Kenneth, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the view and natural space that the mountain has to offer.

Bring sunscreen and wear...

Bring sunscreen and wear good walking shoes!!! The map they give isn't very precise, and I had a bit of difficulty locating a couple of the activities.

Operator response

Hi Spencer, Thank you for your review, and for your suggestion on what's to bring on your visit! We also appreciate your feedback on the readability of the map, and will pass it along to our management team.

Meh…Not Worth It

It is not as well set up as the suspension bridge area. Everything is clumped together and not as nice as you’d think - like a farm or local carnival setup. It was also VERY smoky when we went so it was miserable. Not much to do. I don’t recommend it. Suspension bridge, aquarium, or Stanley Park are much better - tourist trap.

Operator response

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience - as our area struggles with smoke coming from wildfires, this definitely can affect visibility from the mountain and damper the experience at times. If you wish to provide more feedback, please feel free to message us at guestservices@grousemountain.com

Expensive for what you saw. But enjoyed the views

It was a beautiful day so enjoyed it but the only shows today were the Lumberjsck & Birds of Prey. The Lumberjack was geared to kids. The restaurant was not taking food orders when we arrived at 2:00 because they were so busy & far behind delivering orders. I thought it was expensive for what was available. All the other attractions cost extra

Operator response

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience - due to the recent loss of one of our resident grizzly Grinder, our Ranger Talks and Owl Talks shows were cancelled for the long weekend so our ranger team could take time to grieve. We appreciate your feedback on the dining experience, and will pass it along to the right department.

Beautiful day on Grouse Mountain

My family and I spent a July afternoon at Grouse Mountain. We rode up on the Red Skyride and had lunch at the Altitudes Bistro. Service was slow but the beer, burgers and sandwiches were good. We took the Peak Chairlift to the top of the mountain. The view was absolutely spectacular from there. We took the Blue Gondola back down to the parking area. We were saddened to learn that Grinder, a grizzly bear, had been euthanized earlier that morning due to a spinal condition.

Operator response

Hi Rita, Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed the food and views from the mountain. We also appreciate your kind words on the difficult loss of one of our resident grizzly bears, Grinder, who will be deeply missed by everyone at Grouse.

Great mountain

It was such a cool experience. Make sure to bring a jacket. Loved ziplining and the chairlift. Will definitely come back!

Operator response

Hi there, Thank you for your review, and for the tip to bring on extra layers! The mountaintop can definitely get slightly colder than the city level. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed the actitivies, and hope to welcome you back soon!

Frustation

Terrible experience. We had six people, but only one QR code which they could not accept. On the Tripadvisor app I tried to get separate tickets but it kept saying “oops something went wrong“.Therefore had to go to guest services, which was a 45 minute wait in line to get separate tickets that they would accept at the gondola.

Operator response

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. For tickets purchased through third-party sites such as Viator, it is necessary to bring your vouchers to Guest Services so we can swap them for scannable tickets. We appreciate your feedback on the wait time and process, and will take it into consideration as we work on improving our guest services. If you wish to provide us with more feedback, please feel free to email us at guestservices@grousemountain.com

Enjoyable but couldn't see anything.

We went on a cloudy day. We got an uber from Suspension Bridge. The uber driver did warn us that we won't be able to see anything from the top. As we had already paid our ticket we still went up. If we had a choice we probably wouldn't have gone up as yes you couldn't see anything. We did go and see the bear encounter and that was good and interesting as they were out. Other than that we came straight back down. If you have a clear day I'm sure the view would be amazing- if it's cloudy- don't bother

Operator response

Hi Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As a mountaintop attraction, weather can definitely affect the views you get from the top. Hope we get to welcome you back on a sunny day so you can get more out of your experience!

Fun day at Grouse

We had a great time at Grouse Mountain! The weather improved and we had great views as well as fun shows. We were able to see the bears who were separated, actually communicate with each other (talking at the fence!). It was quite cool.

Operator response

Hi Judy, Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear that you got to enjoy the views and activities at Grouse, and got to see your resident grizzlies Coola and Grinder!
