The Loch Ard ran aground crashing into Mutton Bird Island in 1878. The only two survivors Tom Pearce and Eva Carmichael managed to drag themselves to the safety of the beach inside Loch Ard Gorge. For a moment, these two tragic teenagers were the talk of the English-speaking world, which very much hoped they would marry (they did not).
Razorback is the long, yet very high, rock formation further along the coast from 12 Apostles. With sharp edges & bumps along the back, wind & water erosion.'
Loch ard george was the scene of the the shipwreck coast`s famous shipping disaster. The location for a number of movies including " the pirate movie " filmed in 1982.

Rainforest Melba Gully is famous for being one of the wettest spots in Victoria, which has led to its plant life and rainforest environment. We will See Myrtle Beech, Blackwood and Tree-ferns, And Will Take Some Pictures With The Nature.

The Memorial Arch is a popular destination to stop at, as it is the start of the Great Ocean Road. We will take the opportunity to stop at the designated carpark to take a photo with the arch and the statue, commemorating their adventure. A Big Sign Says "GREAT OCEAN ROAD"
And will finish our day In Anglesea. Anglesea is a town in Victoria, Australia. It is located on the Great Ocean Road in the Surf Coast Shire.
The trip ends here, where you can catch free trams- Trains or Cruise Back To Your Hotel.

We had a wonderful time with our guide Steve on this Great Ocean Road day tour. He brought us to lots of places and nice spots to avoid as much as possible the crowd, which we really appreciated. He also took pictures of all of us during the tour and showed us koalas and kangaroos, which was a first for us. I would really recommend this tour, the fact that it's backward is quite cool because you kinda avoid the crowd, especially on the 12 Apostles.
An incredible Ocean Road experience, Our guide, Steve, took the time to show us bits off the beaten path. We rarely had other bus groups anywhere near us and really allowed for us to have a truly personalized small group tour. Our family is a bit more active than other guests and he constantly had recommendations for how we should approach each stop to maximize our time and see as much as we could. Fantastic experience. Five stars.
This tour of the Great Ocean Road was amazing! I went with my husband and our 2 kids (ages 8 & 11) and we all had a wonderful day. It’s an early morning out and a long day on the coast but worth every moment. Our driver/guide, Steve, was hilarious and informative. He kept us laughing and entertained all day with anecdotes and tidbits of extra information. He went the extra mile at every stop to ensure we had the best opportunities to see the sights and to make sure everyone was comfortable. Don’t miss this if you’re in Melbourne! It’s a must do!
