Guests can choose from a wide variety of food options, explore the market, visit nearby shops at The Grove, and ask the guide for favorite lunch recommendations. Many shorter LA tours skip this special stop, but we believe no Los Angeles city tour feels complete without time at the Original Farmers Market.

We couldn’t have had a better tour! Bing was so fun, friendly, and shared so much history with us! We hung on to every word and took lots of photos!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Taking a tour with Dave was the best way we could've ended our vacation. The van was spacious, and, after days of walking in the heat, the AC was heavenly. A stop at the Farmer's Market wasn't in the itinerary, but was well appreciated.
Hi KB, Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that Dave was able to help make the perfect ending to your vacation. After several days of exploring Los Angeles on foot, a comfortable ride with great A/C can certainly be a welcome treat. We’re also glad you enjoyed the stop at the Original Farmers Market. It’s one of our favorite Los Angeles destinations and a featured stop on our Grand City Tour of Los Angeles, Hollywood & Beverly Hills. Thank you again for touring with us, and we hope to see you back in Southern California soon!
Bing was an amazing guide, we are so lucky to have her as the tour guide, very knowledgeable and many local stories. It’s an amazing 5 hours tour of LA for us as first timer
Hi Janet, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that Bing made your first visit to Los Angeles such a memorable experience. Her knowledge of the city, combined with the local stories and insights she shares along the way, helps create a fun and informative experience for our guests. For more than 38 years, we’ve enjoyed showing visitors the very best of Los Angeles, and over that time our guides have developed a deep knowledge and appreciation of the city’s history, neighborhoods, landmarks, and hidden gems. We’re thrilled that Bing was able to share that passion with you. Thank you for choosing our Grand City Tour of Los Angeles, Hollywood & Beverly Hills. We hope to welcome you back for another Los Angeles adventure in the future!
Our LA City Tour was in an 8-10 person air conditioned van and our Tour Guide Bing was fantastic! Her 40 yr personal insight into the history of LA and all of the major landmarks and their changes over the years made this tour superior over other “canned” tours. We also really enjoyed being able to see many of the celebrity homes, learning about their current value, historical ownership and “The Juice”. So - we strongly recommend Bing and Guidline Tours over the other impersonal large or open truck tours!
Thank you so much, William, for your wonderful review, for calling this the “Best small/personal LA tour,” and especially for strongly recommending Bing and Guideline Tours. That means a great deal to us because this is exactly what Guideline Tours has worked so hard to provide for 38 years. We are especially happy that you felt the difference between a true Los Angeles city tour and a more “canned” or impersonal sightseeing experience. Our goal has always been to give guests a comfortable, small-group tour in an air-conditioned, climate-controlled, high-roof 8–10 passenger tour van, with real personal attention, meaningful storytelling, and time to understand the city — not just a quick drop-off and pickup at a few crowded stops. Bing’s decades of personal experience in Los Angeles, along with her knowledge of the city’s history, landmarks, celebrity homes, property values, historical ownership, changing neighborhoods, and “the juice,” are a big part of what makes the tour special. We are so glad that came through during your day with us. We also appreciate your comments comparing our tour to larger, more impersonal tours and open truck-style tours, or open van tours. Especially during the warm Los Angeles summer months, we believe guests deserve to enjoy the city in comfort, without the sun beating down on them for hours, while still getting a close-up, personal, and easy-to-enjoy sightseeing experience. Thank you again for recognizing and strongly recommending Bing and Guideline Tours. Reviews like yours help future travelers understand that after nearly four decades in business, we are still deeply committed to offering a real, personal, air-conditioned, comfortable, and memorable Grand City Tour of Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. Happy travels, and we hope to see you again next time!
The guide, Ving was extremely knowledgeable about LA and even other states. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you so much, Grace! We truly loved showing you around Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. Bing, like all of our tour guides, has an incredible passion for the history, culture, landmarks, and ever-changing story of Los Angeles. Sharing that knowledge with visitors from around the world is what we love to do. We’re also very proud to be the longest continuously running daily city tour company in Los Angeles since 1988. Your recommendation means a great deal to our family-run business. Thank you very much for high recommendation!!
Only one day in LA and just chose this one. Glad we did. Saw a good representation of the 3 areas and learned a lot. My 3 of us with our guide.
Hi MaryAnn, We’re so glad you chose our Grand City Tour of Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills for your one day in LA. That’s exactly what this tour is designed for — giving guests a well-rounded look at the city when time is limited. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed seeing Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills, including Downtown LA, which many sightseeing tours skip. Our guides have spent many years sharing the history, stories, and culture of Los Angeles, and as a family-run company operating since 1988, it means a lot to know that experience came through. Thank you again for joining us, and we wish you continued happy travels!
It's a good tour if you don't have a lot of time and want to get a general overview of LA. I personally would have liked more time to wander around Hollywood Blvd, and some time in West Hollywood, and less time in Downtown LA.
Hi Katie, Thank you for joining our Grand City Tour of Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. We’re grateful you chose our tour and are glad you felt it was a good way to get a general overview of LA, especially with limited time. Your guide that day was Bing, one of our most experienced and highly praised guides. Bing is known for sharing a wide range of knowledge about Los Angeles history, Hollywood past and present, Beverly Hills, and movie star homes, while keeping the tour moving across a very large city. As the longest continuously running daily city sightseeing tour in Los Angeles, operating since 1988, our route was designed to be more than only a Hollywood and Beverly Hills experience. Downtown Los Angeles is the birthplace of the city, and our city center portion highlights LA’s rich history through the Spanish era, Mexican era, and early American era, along with important architecture and cultural landmarks. We believe this deeper historical context is part of what sets us apart from many competitors. Over the years, we have adjusted the itinerary and now spend less time Downtown than we once did, but Bing still includes important highlights such as Walt Disney Concert Hall, one of LA’s most photographed architectural landmarks, designed by Frank Gehry. We understand you would have liked more time on Hollywood Boulevard. Hollywood can be very fluid due to crowds, construction, street closures, and special events. On your tour date, Bing worked through extra challenges, and with extensions that day, the group had approximately 45 minutes there. Regarding West Hollywood, our description does not list it as a stop. On this tour, Bing drives along the Sunset Strip, passing landmarks such as The Roxy, Rainbow Bar & Grill, The Viper Room, Sunset Plaza, and the surrounding shopping and restaurant district. A longer West Hollywood stop is usually better suited for a private or evening tour. Again, Katie, we truly appreciate your feedback. If you would like to share any additional thoughts, we would be happy to hear from you directly at +1-323-465-3004. Wishing you continued happy travels, and we would be happy to welcome you again in Southern California.
Easy tour. Very informative. All over Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Downtown LA. Lunch on our own at the Farmers Market. Delightful time.
Thank you, Shauna! We’re so glad you had a delightful time. Since 1988, our decades of experience have helped us create an easy, informative, and well-rounded tour covering Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Downtown LA, and a wonderful lunch stop at the Original Farmers Market. We truly appreciate your kind review and wish you continued happy travels!
Fantastic guide . Very knowledgeable. Great experience

We took the half day tour and had the amazing Bing as our driver/guide. She was so incredibly knowledgeable and was a superb guide. We stopped off at many places and were given plenty of time at each stop to get off, take photos and wander around etc. It was a great way of getting around Hollywood and downtown LA and we all had a brilliant time. Thank you Bing
Thank you so much for your kind words—it really means a lot to us. We’re thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your time with Bing. She truly loves what she does, and with decades of experience, sharing her knowledge of Los Angeles comes so naturally to her. We’ll be sure she sees this—she’ll really appreciate it. It’s great to know you enjoyed the stops and had time to explore, take photos, and soak it all in. That’s exactly the kind of relaxed, engaging experience we aim to provide. Thanks again for joining us—we’re so glad you had such a great time, and we hope to see you again on your next visit!
