Fraud Bus Tour Operator in Las Vegas - Grand Canyon Destinations

Grand Canyon Destination West Rim Tour operator is an unscrupulous organization. I booked online ticket for 3 persons with USD 543.25 for Grand Canyon Bus Tour with this company on 1st February 2026. The tour was scheduled on 3rd February 2026. On 2nd Feb, they informed me that the tour is cancelled. I asked for refund which they confirmed will give within 15 days. Now, almost 52 days have passed, no refund. I called their toll-free number twice, who confirmed that refund is in process with accounts but no refund made. Please avoid this Tour Operator when you are in Las Vegas.

Operator response

We do not have bookings with you. Please make sure you have posted the response to correct listing. The tours we run this year for West Grand Canyon have been activated from March only. We do not have any bookings made in February

Amazing Experience

The Grand Canyon is every bit as amazing to see as you might expect (wow). Gia also really brought lots of aspects to life by giving a nice mix of history and facts about the Canyon. I am so glad I didn't just drive there on my own, it was a great experience.

Gran Canyon

A nice place, but they charge you for the photo for less than 5 minutes in the skywalks and then you pay for the photo, you can enjoy it more in the second point.

Beautiful scenery, surroundings not so much

We experienced a tour that was very beautiful in terms of scenery but disastrous in organizational and human terms. At the beginning, the bus was 25 minutes late, even though we had been asked to be absolutely punctual with a military-like instruction text message. All tour participants were read from a list and called personally before boarding the bus. After we were given the tour details by the guide during the trip, it turned out that we had been booked on the wrong tour by the tour organization (we couldn't understand whether it was the provider or the platform): instead of just Grand Canyon West Rim as booked for 7 hours, we were put on a bus with a stop at Joshue Tree Forest and Hoover Dam, which took 3 hours longer than we booked. This posed a real problem for us because of our return flights. We pointed this out to the guide Carlitos and he responded very rudely to us with a similar “it’s not my problem, you booked through a third party agency, deal with it.”. The speed and phrasing of the response sounded very rehearsed and not like the first such occurrence. After a few minutes he came up to us again and loudly told us in front of all the other guests - like we were small children - that he would never be able to complete the tour in 7 hours. Afterwards he simply ignored us and, unlike the other participants, didn't offer us any more water. Even when we got out, unlike everyone else, he didn't say goodbye to us. Absolutely unprofessional and all because of one question! We also told him at the start that our dissatisfaction had nothing to do with him. Unfortunately, that wasn't all, he drove in a scary way by consciously crossing the safety lane on the Hooverdam and laughing and celebrating himself with "I've always lived somewhat illegally." He also made some misogynistic comments. Grand Canyon West - especially Guano Point - was absolutely worth the trip. It is completely different than Grand Canyon South Rim so even if you know the latter visit the west! However, you can save yourself the food and drink there, it was simply of poor quality. The bottom line is that we recommend visiting Grand Canyon West Rim with another tour provider or on your own and take your own food with you. Of note and to be fair: we were re-embursed and some of the other guests seemed to like our guide.

Operator response

Thanks for your feedback. Firstly we are sorry that you experienced a longer duration tour than what you expected. Also we apologize for the unprofessional behavior from the guide. We have refunded you in full and updated the description about the duration, and it is also subject to the guide arrangement depending on the trafic and weather conditions. And we will also file internal investifation with our bus company/punishment given to your mentioned guide.

I had received an alert...

I had received an alert that the trip for my day was canceled due to a shortage of people. I then booked another excursion, had the choice for a refund, and the refund was never given. This is a rip off. Don't do it!

Operator response

Dear Gwendolyn, Sorry recently it is Labor Day holidays. We processed the refund late. We already processed the refund for you. It usually takes 5-7 business days for the refund to go. Please check your bank statement later. Hope for your understanding.

Amazing!!

We booked through Grey Line bus tours—adding both the helicopter and boat rides. It was amazing! Our entire family of 5 loved it (kids ages 12, 15, 17). Our guide was Freddy—and we all adored him! He is treasure! Entertaining and knowledgeable. 100% recommend!

Grey Line Bus Tour -Grand Canyon West Rim

We booked thru Grey Line Bus tours thru our package deal that was included in our reservation thru Costco Travel. Our tour guide was Freddy and he was wonderful. His personality and jokes made the drive entertaining and informative. Our initial tour was for the South rim but due to bus difficulties, we were offered some options and choose the upgraded to the West Rim. It was lovely.

Wow.

If you do nothing else you should visit the Grand Canyon. Ivan our guide was full of information on the way to the canyon and made everyone feel comfortable. We also did the skywalk which was amazing just a shame you can’t take your own photos.
