The Bent Pyramid is distinguished by its unique design, beginning with a steep angle of 54 degrees before shifting to a shallower angle of 43 degrees, reflecting early experimentation with pyramid shapes. In contrast, the Red Pyramid, considered the first true pyramid, has smooth, angled sides and a height of 105 meters, showcasing refined construction techniques. Kyrllos our guide was great- very knowledgeable (he has even published his own egyptology books). We did a private tour and was definitely worth it for the flexibility with the itinerary, and you can make the most of Kyrllos' experience and knowledge base. Do have a chat about entry fees as most are included but you are able to visit a few extra places so long as you pay for the ticket on the day (such as going inside the Giza pyramids). Overall made our trip to Giza and Cairo very memorable!
Our Tourguide Kyrllos was the perfect guide. He was very knowledgeable and knew a lot of interesting facts. But more importently, he was very passionat about ancient egypt and we coule really feel that! He didn't just throw all the facts at us like he was reading from a history book. He made it exciting. He answered all our questions and discussed alternative possibilitys. He showed us some cool spots away from all the tourists to take good pictures and really get a feeling of the ancient times. The privat tour with kyrllos was the best thing we could have done, we had an amazing experience and it really made our trip to cairo worthwhile. Thanks a lot!!!
Experience was very good with guide, Mustafa. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind, and explained the history of the sites very well. He also provided guidance in terms of the price of various activities like the camel ride and helped to negotiate to a reasonable price. Also very helpful with taking nice photos. Highly recommended.
The Giza plateau, Sakkara, Memphis, are sites that are always in everyone's bucket list, but if you have the good luck to get Michael as guide, you are guaranteed an easy, relaxing, entertaining, enjoyable day. His knowledge, the way he engages with history, culture, he tells all what you need to hear before seeing the sites. You can easily see he loves what he does. Thank you Michael for such a lovely day for Jonathan and I.
Everything was Amazing !! Our tour guide Gerges was very knowledgeable about the pyramids, excavations sites and Egyptian history . He got us good prices on souvenir by negotiating with the locals … felt like our tour guide was always Looking after us. Had a wonderful time❤️
Mohamed mahmoud was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. We had a family trip (four adults - mom, dad, sister, brother) to Cairo and he was absolutely wonderful! He is an Egyptologist and boy did we benefit from his knowledge! He really personalized the experience- we saw the pyramids, the Sphinx, toured Sakkara, visited Memphis, stopped by a perfumery, and ended with a trip to the papyrus museum and learned how Egyptians made paper. Along the way he infused historical knowledge with current events. We asked A LOT of questions and he seemed to love answering every single one. We had a wonderful lunch as well. It was also my mother’ s birthday (she is near retirement). He let everyone know along the way so she was blessed with little treats. He also even bought her a lovely cake to celebrate! He and the driver Nagy were so kind. Loved the experience. Book this team! They are amazing!
Do not book this experience. We had the absolute worst experience with this tour that almost ruined our trip to Giza. First of all, our tour guide Mohammed was the rudest person ever. He did not explained anything to us and didn't go with us for most of the tour. This is experience was an overpriced taxi ride. He was hurrying us most of the experience and we couldn't really experience the monuments. We didn't have time to soak in the history or take pictures. He was mad and rude most of the time. The camel ride was like 5 minutes and he separated the group. At first the tour said it was 8-9 hours long per Viator, and it was really 5 hours. Second, the tour guide said the monuments closed at 2pm but we went there again by our own now and they are open until 3pm during Ramadan. Third, the tour said it included the entrances to those monuments. But he let us enter to the park but not inside of the pyramids or the sphinx or the Saqqara pyramid. All of this because “we didn’t have time.”Also, our tour guide was in a hurry all the time. He didn’t let us enjoy the spaces and take pictures. And he didn’t explain it or walk with us to show us the monuments, and it was advertised that we were going to have an Egyptologist... but we really didn’t. Fourth, the tour included 25 min of camel rides but we only rode camels for 3 minutes by clock and he said that it was a “favor” even though we told him that our reservation included 25 min of it. In addition, he only gave us 5-10min in each place and monument and that was it. He also said that the tour included food and he tried to take us to another restaurant and charge us but he ended up giving us falafel sandwiches and taking us to the hotel. In two occasions instead of taking us to the sites he tried to take us to buy perfumes and papyrus which was not on the agenda. The hold time he had a hostile and rude attitude and seem bothered when we tried to ask him questions about the monument as an Egyptologist…. Overall it was not a good experience and we feel robbed.
Our Amr guide was punctual took us to all the places included in the booking, lunch consists of very tasty Egyptian falafel sandwiches. The entire tour lasted less than 8 hours.
Our guide was Gamil Gamal who gave us a perfect tour. He is a very good English speaker, he knows Egyptian history very well, presenting it in a professional way. Taking into account the fact that it was a tour of more than 8 hours for two people, he was very involved in what he was doing, plus he took hundreds of pictures for us in all the locations we visited. He also helped us a lot with information about our safety during the tour and how to behave with those who wanted to sell us different products. We recommend it with love!
We were a couple travelling and we had a wonderful trip around Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis with our guide Mohamed Salah. We did the camel ride also in Giza. The car was clean and new and the driver provided for the tour was also excellent! Mohamed was very knowledgeable and explained so many aspects and details we were not aware of. In addition, he was an excellent photographer and told us where to take quirky and good photographs. We travelled to Memphis and chose to have a delicious shwarma lunch and were dropped off at a hotel in the evening. A very good trip, with an excellent guide!! Will totally recommend this tour for an EGYPT visit.
