Description

Discover the ancient Roman and Medieval history of Girona on a guided tour of the city's highlights! Visit the Jewish Quarter, pass by the cathedral and meander the streets of the Old Town. Learn about the Cathedral from your local expert guide — one of the most important symbols of the city, together with the Basilica of Sant Feliu. Cross some of the most emblematic bridges, enjoying unique views of the colorful houses of the Onyar river. And get lost in the labyrinth of streets of the Old Town, discovering unique spots, corners, squares and streets while hearing some of the strangest legends and stories. Try, right in the heart of the Jewish Quarter, our two most famous delicacies: the xuixo, a pastry made of baked dough filled with custard, and ratafia, our most famous liquor made of 40 different herbs and green nut. So good! All of this, and a lot more, in this fantastic trip to the past, present and future of our city. Don’t miss it!

Must do tour

Meeting place was easy to find. Tour guide Jean Mark was great. Knowledge, funny and brought history to life. As an avid walker there is not actually much walking to this tour as everything is pretty close together however there are steps and small hills that some with mobility issues might find challenging. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour though and worth the money.

10/10 tour, perfect for a day trip

Jordi was truly best your guide I’ve had. He’s a Girona local and extremely knowledgeable about everything we wanted to know. The tour was perfectly balanced between explaining local legends in the larger (true) historical context, larger relationships and history of Spain and Catalonia. He was happy to tangent off into topics our small group found interesting and the tour ended with a perfect sampling of local ratafia & pastry. Absolutely made our 1 day trip to Girona fabulous!

Girona - Well Worth It

Our tour guide was John Mark. The tour was in English. John Mark is a personable, knowledgeable guide. He explained every stop in detail, but not too much. It was a good tour of Girona - saw all the sights listed. Also had a bakery snack. I would recommend this tour and John Mark. Well done.
