Leave the hustle and bustle of Barcelona behind and join this early-morning hot-air balloon flight at only 30-45 minutes away from the city. A hot-air balloon ride is the best way to capture outstanding views of Catalonia from heights of up to 3,000 feet (900 meters). Prepare for an exhilarating flight as you take off and begin to enjoy the sense of freedom and tranquility of floating through the air, you'll be airborne between 1 and 1.5 hours before landing for a sumptuous Champagne brunch. Our ballooning flights include an optional pick-up in Barcelona city centre and roundtrip transfer to the flying area. Want a longer or more intimate experience? Select a 2-hour flight to spend longer in the air or upgrade to a private flight plus the pilot.

If your book our pick up service, your adventure begins here, from the emblematic Plaza Cataluña, located in the city center of Barcelona. Meet our team there, jump in our ballooning van and let's go for the balloon adventure ! Also, if come at night, get into the Hard Rock Café and have nice ambiance, good music and international food.
Before heading to the balloon launch site, make a stop in this tipical Catalan Cafeteria for you to have a quick coffee, drink a fresh orange juice and get a quick snack. This place is the meeting point with the ballooning team and also be your last chance to go to toilet...
You will be driven outside Barcelona and reach the meeting point in the flying area, next to Vic city. Take off place is very close from the city, and be prepared to contemplate, from the air, the old town of Vic city with its medieval streets and tipical Catalan Masia. You will also fly over Catalonia countryside, get fantastic views of the Pyrenees, Montserrat, the Mediterranean, the massifs of Montseny and, depending on visibility, even Barcelona itself
From the hot air balloon you will discover the beauty of the Montseny Natural Park with its big mountain culminating at 1700 meters, at just 40 km away from Barcelona. During the winter time, you will see snow on it !
Our team will drop you off in this popular famous place. Located in the city center, you can start another activity from here, or just go to the nearest restaurant in the Ramblas street.

Pickup Locations & Times
If you book the balloon flight experience including the pick-up service option, the participants must meet our team in front of the Hard Rock Café Barcelona (located Plaça de Catalunya, 21, 08002 Barcelona, Spain) and they will be transfered to the flying area in our vehicules. Exact pick up time varies according to season and will be reconfirmed by local operator (only one possible time between 6:00, 6:30, 7:00). Returns to original departure point.

The driver was extremely nice and accommodating. The pilot was exceptionally safe and the ground crew was kind and informative. If you’re going to take a balloon ride, this is an absolutely fantastic experience. We landed so smooth you would not even know we had touched the ground!!!

Such a wonderful excursion! Domi picked us up in the city centre and took us out to Vic. We had a quick bite to eat at a cafe before heading out to the field for lift-off. It was an amazing experience being so high in the sky in nothing other than a floating basket. We saw views of the Pyrenees and Montserrat in the distance. Our pilot Santi gave us a run down of how the hot air balloon works. All-in-all, a great half-day, memorable activity!

We were a family of 6. We were picked up promptly from the meeting point in Barcelona and transferred to the Catalonia region for the ride. The whole process from start to finish was great and well organized. Loved the balloon ride. Absolutely gorgeous and perfectly safe. 10/10 recommend.

This was one of those once in a lifetime experiences that was well worth the cost! I booked this as a surprise for my partners 40th birthday whilst we were in Barcelona. The communication leading up to our visit was excellent. I chose the pick up option (worth doing) and we headed to a little café for coffee to meet our pilot before going to the departure site. Once the balloons were prepared for flight, off we went! Although I was nervous, Nico our pilot put us at ease by explaining how it works, his experience and lovely stories about our surroundings. Once you are in the sky, its one of the most peaceful feelings, being guided by the wind; the views are fantastic and luckily we had beautiful sunshine. The ride lasted around 1 hour then on landing, the team wrap the balloon up and we shared a bottle of cava and some snacks. We didn't feel rushed and it was lovely to spend time afterwards chatting together. A truly wonderful memorable experience, still cant believe we've done it! Would highly recommend - Thank you so much Nico and the team, you made it very special!
