Giant's Causeway Tour with Titanic Experience Ticket from Belfast

Itinerary

Admission included90 min

Visit the Titanic Museum for around 1.5 hours and learn the story of the Titanic ocean liner and her ill-fated maiden voyage. The story comes alive with innovative technology, scale models and more. The museum expands over 9 galleries and draws together special effects, dark rides and full-scale reconstructions. The experience contains interactive features so you can truly explore the Titanic story in an insightful light. The journey will take you beyond the aftermath of the sinking to the later discovery of the ship. This tour will also take you to the present day with a tour of the live undersea exploration centre.

90 min

Be prepared to be met by the most spectacular sight. This wild and beautiful formation is a consequence of ancient volcanic activity, the solidified lava now layered across 40,000 hexagonal columns stretching for a distance of over 6km. You can stroll along this UNESCO World Heritage-listed site for around 1.5 hours and see formations such as the Wishing Chair, the Giant' Boot and Organ.  There is a different version of how the Causeway was formed. The Irish giant Finn McCool while preparing for battle with his Scottish rival, is said to have angrily fired rocks into the sea to forge a path to nearby Scotland. However on seeing the size of his would-be adversary, he quickly retreats tearing the ground and ripping the stones as he hastily moves. Similar types of stone found in Scotland give weight to this tale of two feuding giants! Even today the Causeway continues to stir imagination and inspire folklore.

20 min

Stop at the Dark Hedges for around 20 minutes, a centuries-old lane of beech trees that have been featured in films and on television. In the TV series Game of Thrones, the Dark Hedges was featured in season 2 as the King's Road.

This was an excellent tour. Our guide Quiggs was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his country and its history and culture. The Causeway did not disappoint and the Titanic museum was a bucket list item checked!

Giants Causeway/Titanic tour review.

Nolan and Deckland were great guide and driver! Both the giants causeway and the titanic are must sees if ever in Belfast. The cliff stop, castle picture op and the dark road were also nice. Pickup & drop off were smooth. Highly recommend.

Fantastic day out

It’s very informative and there is a lot of walking, make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Either bring a packed lunch or some spending money for snacks along the way. Brian and Jacob were our guides and they were brilliant, I thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend it.

Too much talking

We were collected on time in Belfast on a coach that had made its way from Dublin. Tbf, early February isnt the best time to visit some sites but we had a reasonably dry day. We made our way to Giants Causeway which is a couple of hours drive, all of which was filled with our host Quinny constantly talking. After a while both I and my partner found this pretty wearing especially as too much had an anti English, Pro Republican theme, to the extent that IRA atrocities were almost excused. One call out for Giants Causeway was the Irish Stew that we had in the local pub which was excellent. We then made our way back via Dark Hedges (not great in winter with no leaves on the trees ) and the Titanic Exhibition which was very good. We made our own way home from there. Would I recommend this? No - mainly because sometimes a bit of peace is welcome on long coach trips and partly because (whilst accepting that the history of England and Ireland is complicated - as our Late Queen said "It would have been better if some things had been done differently - or not at all!") I dont think it is good practice to try to make your paying customers feel that they are to blame for all your ills. The English generally treat the Irish as beloved family. Some reciprocation would be appreciated as would some periods of quiet!

Great trip Giants Causeway/titanic experience

Great trip , as advertised , bring a drink and some lunch . Very few places to get a drink. Enough time spent apart from dark hedges needed more time. Very good value for money

Timely and relaxed tour

Very nicely put together, with lots of information at the driving time and enough time to explore in Irish weather. Thanks to guide Mia and driver Fred
