Avoid this crappy company!

Did not show up for our pick-up, which was scheduled and paid for months ago. No cancellation call or email, in fact we received an email stating that they were “ready for our tour”. I called when they failed to show and was told “management decided to cancel due to low attendance “. No apology, just that statement. We were traveling on a HAL cruise. Avoid Allen’s like the plague.

Not a reputable company

Two days before our scheduled tour the Allen Tour Co. canceled our tour due to not enough people. We had scheduled this tour last January!!! Due to the fact that they canceled the tour so late we were unable to book with anyone else as they were all booked!! Not a reputable company!

DO NOT BOOK WITH ALLENS TOURS

lwyholly 1d **⚠️ DO NOT BOOK WITH ALLEN’S TOUR IN BELFAST ⚠️** What happened to us in Northern Ireland was the most terrifying travel experience of our lives—and this company is still operating with zero consequences. **📍 What went down:** - We had confirmed booking emails, but the tour company claimed “no record” and refused a refund. lwyholly 1d · Author - When we asked to cancel our relatives’ bookings too, the manager became aggressive and hostile. - I started recording for safety—he **physically grabbed my phone** to delete the footage. - He then **drove off in his car with my phone still in his possession**, while I was partially trapped between the open driver’s door and the seat. - Police called it **attempted robbery** and said this company is **“well-known for frequent conflicts.”** - The manager never returned. No charges. lwyholly 1d · Author No accountability. This isn’t just bad customer service. This is **dangerous, criminal behavior**. **🛑 BOYCOTT ALERT:** Do NOT book with Allen’s Tour. Do NOT recommend them. Share this to protect others. If you’ve had a similar experience, file a complaint with the [Consumer Council for Northern Ireland](consumercouncil.org.uk) and comment below. Together we can demand accountability.

Highlights of Northern Ireland

This was a great alternative to the tour through the cruise ship- much more economical. I believe part of the savings comes from not going through the visitor center at Giant’s Causeway. We did not see the rope bridge, but we did visit all the other stops and were able to get some sandwiches for a late lunch at the Dark Hedges Hotel. I would recommend if you take this tour the first stop was in the city center and there was a Pret and Cafe Nero that you could grab sandwiches from and take out to Giant’s Causeway for lunch. We were back with plenty of time before the ship departed.

Need better Bus/Seats

The "mini bus" was a bit outdated and seats were not that comfy. However, that didn't bar us from having a great experience. Amazing locations and hassle free tour overall.

Belfast quickie for cruisers -be swift and be Mobile!! 🤣

Well.. quick 6- hr experience is a good idea effort! …Allen Tours has an obvious reputation at the port for “being late” and they definitely lived up to that! 30 mins late for a very critical timeline for the cruise passengers was a little unnerving! All of the other buses were ready BEFORE the 0830 departure - which was frustrating! Our driver BENN was amazing though! He was entertaining, knowledgeable and got us back to the port with 8 mins to spare! That’s great considering the Belfast traffic, rain, etc! The driveby the mural was ok (rain sucked) but the history lessons were an eye-opener to many passengers who just don’t understand what the value of DIVERSITY means for world peace! The “Dark Hedges” is a joke- row of trees - would have been better to do a Deluce castle driveby, Giant’s causeway for an hour and 1/2 of picture taking and go to The Nook for a quick bite to eat, 45 mins at the Distillery, then do a drive / drop by the Game of Thrones or Titanic museum with the option to taxi back to the port! Again BENN is an excellent driver and knew how to “gauge the group” - very appreciated!
