George Michael London Tour by Black Taxi

Description
Setting off from Kingsbury Station and ending at Hampstead, you’ll tour George Michael’s London in a traditional London Taxi with an expert guide. On this four-hour tour, you’ll see the family home, his local school and the huge mural painted in the Faith singer’s honour in this bustling part of North London. As George became an accomplished solo artist, so came the downside of fame, all played out in the heat of the media spotlight. It’s all very much part of the singer’s history and this tour touches on his much-documented troubles, with the infamous Snappy Snaps traffic incident and subsequent arrests around Hampstead. George’s last UK concert was at Earl’s Court in 2012 and he passed away in December 2016. He lived in an imposing Grade II listed house in Highbury and this is where your utterly fascinating George Michael tour of north London ends. A superb day out for all Wham and George Michael fans who loved his music.

We’d booked this after spending a couple of days visiting George Michael’s country home. Sue, our guide, was brilliant from the start. It could’ve been awkward-sharing a cab with four strangers but by then end of it, we were all friends. I loved seeing George’s humble beginnings and it certainly made him the man he became. Visiting his final resting place was an honour. We’d already been but it felt right to go with other fans too. I’d recommend this tour for any true George fan. And Sue, you are a star!
Very beautiful and impressive. Long looked forward to and today I did this fantastic tour.
Great tour to learn more about the life and times of George Michael. Would highly recommend to any fan who wants a glimpse into the pop legend's life. We weren't told about the £10 additional fee to visit Highgate cemetery (this could be better explained).
This is a once in a lifetime experience if you are a WHAM! and/or George Michael fan. It was so amazing to see his old schools, homes, and places where he performed. Seeing Bushey Meads was fantastic and we also got a chance to visit his grave at Highgate Cemetery (with a 10 pound entry fee). The only reason I didn’t give this experience five stars is because we ended up walking through the whole cemetary. The guide wanted us to see the whole thing but I was only interested in George Michael so it was too much unnecessary walking. Otherwise, it was a wonderful trip.
Overall, this tour was pleasant. It allowed us to see George Michael’s old houses, schools, and places where he performed. I would have liked it more if we focused more on George and did not see the whole cemetery at Highgate, just his grave. I would have also liked it more if George Michael’s final home in Goring was included in the trip. However, overall this was a very good trip for all George Michael & WHAM! fans. I’m very glad I went on this experience.
We had a great tour and our guide Richard was fantastic. A must go tour for all Georger Michael fans.
This tour was brilliant with our tour guide Richard phenomenal from start to finish. A must do for all George Michael fans.
An extraordinary moment with the person who drove the English black cab, an exceptional person, of a kindness to us throughout the circuit and the apotheosis, a long moment of contemplation in front of the grave of George Michael at the higtgate cemetery. An emotion shared with the fans of George. Feel free to take this guided tour. I hope to relive this experience very quickly, so great it was.
I highly recommend this animation with a very friendly and very pleasant driver who takes a lot of pleasure and shares his passion to make us discover the story of the life of George Michael. Thanks to you
Had a lovely experience with Richard our tour guide, who gave us the insight into George's upbringing, to the height of his fame. Richards knowledge of not just the tour but of London was phenomenal. He really did go above and beyond on this tour for us. The weather wasn't great but we still had the chance to take photos, and Richard kindly send me some later on in the day. A great bloke. Plenty of opportunity to take photos and also visit the grave of George and his family. A fab day for fans
