This was a very nice, hassle-free evening outdoors. Our guide Sophie was engaging and conscientious of all participants.
Great fun in the fresh air, good exercise (not too strenuous), well organized. Sophie; our guide/bus-driver/cook/raconteuse was super friendly and motivating. She backpacked all of our group dinner stuff (~70 lbs) while leading us up hill and down to the cabin. That new NCC cabin was awesome, too.
Everything was well organized. Brandon, the owner/ tour guide surpassed our expectations, he was knowledgeable, experienced and lots of fun!
I had an incredible trip. I went alone but didn’t feel left out. Sophie was a great guide who was super friendly and knowledgeable. The dinner was delicious and warmed us up perfectly: plenty of snacks in the van too. An incredible experience and worth doing!
This was a neat experience. The guide was very friendly.
It was a very nice hike. Perfect evening with a clear sky and thousands of stars out. Brandon is a great guide, very knowledgeable.
How amazing the Sophie guide is. She is very welcoming, patient and shares a lot of her good humor and love for nature. We really enjoyed our experience. Anne and Roger
I admit I had my doubts while a polar vortex had us in its icy grip but the trip did not disappoint. Our guide, Sophie, was amazing: "sherpa" was more like it! Not only did she drive the bus; she also schlepped a backpack that weighed as much as a 5-year old, helped people with their crampons, heated the soup and laid out the rest of the light meal. She stopped periodically to check everyone was OK and answered any and every question. All with good humour. The trip was longer than advertised but went the exact length Sophie said it would (back about 10:30 PM). The trip is advertised as "snowshoe" but crampons were recommended as the path is packed despite fairly deep snow. The crampons were great and I was glad to have followed her recommendation. My grandkids (9 and 10) enjoyed it, too. Enough layers plus foot and hand warmers made this a really enjoyable outing, even in -18 C, and helped me appreciate the beautiful Gatineau Park in the winter.
We had the best experience on our snow shoeing tour! Our guide Brandon was amazing! It was great for all our family, our youngest being 10 years old! Would highly recommend and look forward to booking more adventures with Adventure Outaouais!
We went with friends that had never snowshoed before, myself included. The tour was well organized and pick up locations went smoothly. Our guide was great. We did find the snowshoeing fast paced, so make sure that your cardio is good as there is a lot of uphill walking. A charcutier board, soup and hot chocolate was provided; nothing to scream home about, but the soup & hot chocolate were piping hot. The cabin itself was new and wonderful. The guide tried to make a fire but could not get it going. About 10 mins before we left, tea lights we lite for our table. The bus that we were picked up in seemed new and super clean with an abondance of snacks. However, sitting by the window (both ways) was very cold - others who were sat by windows agreed. All in all, it was not a bad tour.
