This tour is a unique blend of cultural stops featuring local history and anecdotes, paired with tastings at five of my hand-picked favorite restaurants. The rotating menu may include specialties from Turkey, Vietnam, Peru, Austria, Sweden, Germany... Berlin's ubiquitous kebab or currywurst isn’t part of the standard program, but can be included upon request! Each "snack" is a small yet satisfying portion—far more than just a bite-sized sample. Learn the history of this unusual bridge: One of Berlin’s best known landmarks, the Oberbaumbrücke - connection between East and West - embedded in much local history.
A small parcel of land with an eventful history and some lesser known architectural monuments.
In the former border area during the partition of Berlin, the Wall here made the towns of Kreuzberg and Alt-Treptow peripheral areas of the city. A preserved relic is this watchtower.
Görlitzer Park is a recreational area for the neighbourhood. I'll tell you anecdotes of its history and why it has a bad reputation today!
One of the central streets of the neighbourhood. Here you find an extraordinary density of international gastro offers. As a visitor, you could just try your luck. I show you personally tested highlights!
The name-giving street of the neighbourhood. Find out why and see a church built in the style of a Romanesque monastery. The amazing density of international gastro offerings continues here as well. From here I give you the final option to rest in a Kiez pub or take you to the station Schlesisches Tor - where the subway is not underground.

If you are looking for traditional German food, this isn't your tour. If you are interested in learning about the current food scene in a trendy Berlin neighborhood and are food curious, this is a fantastic culinary experience! Throw in history of the area from an engaging guide and you have a fun food tour.

The guest tour with Klaus was super fun. We learned a lot about Kreuzberg and got really good food. In the end, we were fed up. This gave us an overview of good restaurants we would never have found ourselves. The next day we went straight back to a restaurant. Just great!

Our booked guided tour with Klaus was a real highlight of our short stay in Berlin. Klaus is a humorous guide and has a profound knowledge of history. We learned a lot of interesting things about the neighborhood that we hadn't heard of before. Even the culinary stops were perfectly selected and very delicious. We can highly recommend the tour.

What a fun evening! Klaus was very engaging, and knowledgeable. He shared a bit of local history of the neighborhood. We tried many different types of food with enough to make a meal out of the evening. Including some that we’ve never had before or would have tried without the help of Klaus. Great tour, very personable and above all very competent tour guide. Although I have lived in Berlin for more than 30 years, I learned a lot of new and exciting things about the neighborhood from Klaus Wehner and discovered some very tasty restaurants.
