Description

We offer you a complete tour, in which you will be able to know and enjoy the main tourist attractions of the city, you are going to live the experience with us! Due to its landscape of singular beauty, and for having the largest and best preserved Historic Center in Latin America, Quito was declared, in 1978, the first World Cultural Heritage city. The colonial city keeps in its streets, squares, temples, convents and monuments, the traces of the Spanish conquest. Modern Quito emerges, on the other hand, with all the strength of a thriving and cosmopolitan capital, reflected in its buildings, shopping centers and hotels. It is also known as Luz de América, for being the cradle of the First Cry of Ibero-American Independence. You can discover this and much more in a whole day with Latiudetripec.

Next to the Plaza de la Independencia, its construction began in 1572, and it was completed in 1806, by the work of the Baron de Carondelet. It is one of the first churches built in the 16th century. The works carried out in the Cathedral are influenced by neoclassicist ideas coming from French Enlightenment thoughts, which Carlos III adopted for Spain and Latin America. Here lie the remains of the Grand Marshal Antonio José de Sucre and other presidents of the Republic. $4

On García Moreno and Antonio José de Sucre streets is one of the most beautiful churches in Ecuador, a symbol par excellence of the Baroque. Its construction dates back to the 18th century. The stone that shows off its façade, its Solomonic columns and the different religious symbols were artistically carved in volcanic stone by indigenous hands. Its interior has gold leaf decorations and valuable paintings and sculptures of the time, it is considered to be the most representative church of the Latin American Baroque. $5

The construction of the church began in 1536, in a Mannerist style, according to chroniclers, before it was an Inca building occupied by Huayna Cápac. In the main altar of the church there is a carving of the Immaculate Apocalyptic known as the Virgin of Quito, carved by the teacher of the Quito School, Bernardo de Legarda. On the outside, its beautiful parapet and stone atrium with the access stands magically envelop the visitor and guide them to its marvelous interior. Optional you can visit its Museum.

Finally we will visit Guayunga Rooftop to relax, we will enjoy the sunset and a beautiful panoramic view of the entire city, along with a drink or beer. This activity is optional, but we recommend it.
