For a long time the city had a large Jewish population. These influences, and many others, have given a unique and very attractive result. Today, the city is slowly becoming a city of artists. Mainly that everything remains in the main sentence “It’s a scam and you’ll be cheated” is not an excursion , it’s a transport that takes you to spend the day in Essauira, leaves later than you are told (about 9:30 or 10) you arrive at almost 13 h and return at 17. The surprise is that the unashamed driver does not want to return you to the same place of departure, as he is in a hurry it takes much less to return than to go (even to return they pay tolls, that does not do it to the first leg). He took us out with bad vehicle manners and we had to pay for a taxi to get back to the hotel, at the company they tell you it is a mistake, but the truth they did it to everyone. I think for a means of transportation there are companies better than this, since people have told me that they were dropped off at their Hotel or where they wanted.

This transport from Marrakesh to Essaouira and back was supposed to take appr. 8,5 hours. It took 12,5 hours of which I was driven around Marrakesh picking up other passangers in 4 different buses (i needed to change the bus 3 times) the first 1,5 hours after which we were back at the area where I was picked up 1,5 hours earlier. Totally inacceptable. The driver did not speak English, only Spanish and all the other passangers were Spanish speakers. None of the breaks during the trip held the scheduled time, but were overdued. The driver informed that the stop at the Argain Oil cooperatove was only 5 minutes, which is totally ridicilous and not per initiary. However, the stop ended up being 25 minutes + additional 10 minures waiting for some passangers. Overall really poor arranged and time-management! I would not have joined, if I knew it was going to take 12,5 hours. One-way to Essaouira was 5 hours for me with all the additional driving.
The tour was beautiful, we had time to see around visit the city see the beach have a tasty local fish meal, the driver was funny and professional, totally recommended 🤩🤩🤩
