My experience wasn’t good the people that give tour are not trustworthy be careful
The experience from the beginning was horrible the transport was over an hour late, which at that point in the vehicle we were told that they would be dropping us off at a bus station so it’s not a private simple 2 hour drive. In the main pick up you get told that there will be 6 stops with the bus where you can not buy anything because it’s in the jungle so you get sold on having to buy another bracelet package so a guy can serve you drinks. Then you get to the bus and apart from the “governmental fee” you’ve got another $100 pesos per person so now there goes $447 dollars extra for a basic tour. Which none of this is mentioned when making these reservations. My honest opinion go through either your hotel or somewhere else but do not book here
My experience with this company (Dreams Tours) was bittersweet. On the one hand, the cultural content was excellent; the guides, especially Milan, demonstrated great knowledge and passion, making the learning experience at Chichén Itzá worthwhile. However, the company's management left much to be desired due to a series of irregularities: 1. Despite confirmation from Viator, I was not picked up at the hotel. I had to arrange the meeting on my own after multiple calls; otherwise, I would have missed the tour. 2. They advertise a "free" cenote, but they force you to pay for the rental of the vest, which invalidates the free offer. 3. When paying by card, they forced the transaction in USD instead of local currency, which negatively affected my bank's exchange rate. 4. The cenotes visited were not those agreed upon in the contract, although fortunately, they met my expectations. 5. They sell "natural" repellent for 200 pesos, when its actual price in the area is 60 pesos. 6. In the Mayan community, they take photos under the pretext of "recording" and then try to sell them, using the tourist's image without prior consent. In conclusion, although the destination is incredible and the buffet food was good, the operator's constant deception undermines the overall experience. I don't like it when people aren't honest with me.
This trip was amazing! We were picked up at our hotel at then we were off. The first stop of the day was a little village for an early lunch. Before lunch there was a Mayan ceremony, some shopping and a little chocolate shop to taste authentic chocolate. Next up was lunch and the tacos were incredible. We live in L.A. and these were some of the best tacos I've had. My only complaint about the whole day would be that drinks aren't included with lunch and a 7up was $90MXN. After lunch we went to Chichen Itza and we were provided with a guide for the site who was great. We spent 1:30 being shown around and then we had another 40 minutes to explore on our own. Walking around the site was wonderful and I wished we had more time to explore everything. Next was the Cenote which my boys loved swimming in. I regretted not going in, but by the time I decided to do it there wasn't enough time left in our hour there. Life Jackets and lockers were $65MXN each. Finally we went to the city of Villadod where we only had enough time to take some photos before a lightning storm was upon us. Our guide Hector was amazing and my family loved the experience. One final note. Others on the tour had a drink package included in their cost but that wasn't available here on Viator.
From the majestic Chichén Itzá, to swimming in the stunning Cenote Oxman, and exploring the charming town of Valladolid, this tour was amazing! Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour if you're looking to dive into Mexico's rich culture and natural beauty
I did the full day excursion with my husband to Chichen Itza. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful crew to take care of us that day. Between the tour guide Carlos Perez, Cesar the driver, and Pocoyo the intern we had a wonderful time and learned a lot. The bus was very comfortable which is a must because it is a long day. We were picked up on time and drop off was a breeze. Would highly recommend.
(We are supposed to participate this tour today(1/1/2025)which we have already paid, but pick-up bus never showed up, and they did not even pick up our call, so let me write our request here, otherwise no way to contact). We booked tour today (1/1/2025) and waiting at the hotel from 7am for 2 hrs, but bus never showed up. We called many times to check the pick-up bus’s status, but they did not pick up our call. As we already paid and came all the way from Japan taking 16hours flight to see Chechen, can we participate this tour tomorrow(2/1/2025) and get compensation? (At least please let us join the tour tomorrow as day after tomorrow we fly back to Japan). Please reply to us ASAP here or individually. Thank you.
Great history and content about the Mayan people and culture. US family with older kids. The Mayan site and ruins were awesome. Each stop was as advertised. Many opps to shop or be sold something. Carlos and his team were top notch. It was a LONG day with a large group to manage (ended up being 12+ hours by thr time we got back). The only substantive downside was the bus - the leg room was nonexistent, esp with 50% of the time being travel time between sites. We recommend.
Long day but a great time. I was surprised by the dinner. Very good. Well worth it. Bring snacks on the bus. We were gone for 12 hours.
It was incredible, our driver arrived on time, the tour starts very early, so I recommend being prepared, our guide was Eduardo, during the trip he was telling us the itinerary while they gave us our box lunch, we arrived at Chichen Iza and we enjoyed the tour , full of magic and history, and what can we say about the cenotes, very relaxing, the food was very good, all the boys were attentive to the entire group.
