This magical journey starts at the incredible "Cenote Azul". This kind of natural sinkholes has a lot of mythical stories. Enjoy and relax in this crystal clear water, surrounded by nature, peace and many spectacular views. This will be the perfect moment to sail into the lagoon in order to know about the next stop "San Felipe's Fort". This incredible fort was intended to protect the inhabitants of Bacalar from the different pirate attacks. We recently did a full-day private tour to Bacalar, Fort Felipe, and Cenote Azul in Quintana Roo, Mexico, and it was one of the best excursions we’ve ever had.From the very beginning, the service was outstanding. Our guide Oskar was exceptional – knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about the history and natural beauty of the region. He explained everything in perfect English, shared interesting stories about the Mayan culture, the pirates who once occupied the area, and the unique ecosystem of the Lagoon of Seven Colors. He answered all our questions with patience and made the whole day feel personal and special.Our driver Manuel was also fantastic – safe, punctual, and always smiling. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Great experience. We didn’t have enough time to spend a couple of days there, so this tour was enough to get to know Bacalar in a fair amount of time. Maui and Angel were our tour guides and both were, transparent, great and organized. Everything was on time and the food was also good. The only thing about this tour is that it didn’t come with the boat ride around the lagoon so we had the option to stay at the beach club (which was cute but small) or pay an extra 250 pesos/person (which isn’t a bad price). We chose to pay and had a great time. If you’re looking for the ride around the lagoon then I would recommend maybe booking that tour instead.

I wouldn’t take this tour again. I would definitely just go to BACALAR on my own to spend time where I wanted. It is convenient to be taken to each place however other than that we didn’t get much from our tour guide. We also did not go to the fort at all. It was completely skipped.
Hi Layla, we regret that it was not what you expected as well as the omitted visit to the San Felipe's Fort (sometimes there are unannounced closures to the site), however when booking the trip it's specified that the visit to the San Felipe's Fort is for panoramic view. The trip was awesome. Arturo was fabulous. He spoke 3 different languages for all on the bus. The food was incredible. I absolutely recommend this excursion. We also were giving bathroom breaks on the way. Very helpful.Yes it's a drive however you get to see the most amazing views once you arrive you'll quickly forget that you were on a van at all. They cancelled our bus and smushed us into the back of another tour. The driver didn't speak English, but was still a great guy/driver and got us to destinations in record time so we got back not too late. Had a good time overall and some better food then other tours.

7 color lagoon was beautiful! Never seen anything so blue. Only thing it was 3 hrs long just to get there, but worth it!
