Full Day Tour in Giza Sakkara and Memphis From Cairo

My brother and I had a fantastic day with the tree of life tour. Our guide Sherif and driver Mohammad were very experienced and knowledgeable, and made sure we got everything we wanted out of the day. We can’t recommend this trip more highly. A must do if you’re visiting Cairo.

This tour of all the pyramids in Old Cairo was fabulous and an adventure that is a once in a lifetime. We were picked in the morning at our hotel by our tour guide and driver - Manar and Yasir. They were both great! Manar brought us through the pyramids and was very knowledgeable about everything. We were able to ride a camel at the Great Pyramid which was a great photo opportunity. Not only was Manar was knowledgeable but she is amazingly nice and a great photographer (she should do this as a second job). We felt safe during this time and everyone should consider doing this tour.

I had an outstanding time on my tour. My guide was knowledgeable and helped us to learn abbot Egyptian history and culture. She even have is pointers on how to negotiate prices, how to handle the many people offsetting you services for money, and generally educated us on what we needed to know as tourists. I felt comfortable the entire time and at no putt did I feel threatened. Cairo is a generally safe place just don't be stupid. We went to the pyramids in Giza, shopping in the city,, camel riding, and later toured a papyrus shop. Don't be fooled however, you can get anything you want on the street. I think the quality of the merchandise is all the same regardless where it's made from. Just because the shops are flagged doesn't mean you should pay the prices. We over paid for some papyrus drawings I think. We could have negotiated them on the street for much cheaper. Anyways, the tour was excellent and there wasn't much else u could ask for out of a day tour. I would have liked to be able to spend time at my leisure at the sites we visited, but due to the driver expense, we were on a time window at each stop. I get it but it would have been nice to take more time. Our guide was very knowledgeable which was a real plus! I would recommend this company to anyone. 5 stars.

I booked my tour ahead of time, coming from San Francisco. I was picked up from my hotel the Dusit Thani and this was the most amazing tour I had ever been on. I don't usually like tours because I'm not a fan of groups. But this was actually very small and intimate. My tour guide Taha Marie was so knowledgeable and answered my endless questions! He gave us cultural background and took us to all of the the pyramids. This was an experience of a lifetime. I'm also glad that I started my trip with this tour first. It helped me become comfortable in Cairo by learning and understanding the culture. I felt so safe and well looked after. They also took us to do a little bit of shopping. In fact, I am planning to go back this year and take the same tour but multi day this time. There is so much to see. I would highly recommend this tour, it was so worth it!

If you are considering If If are considering going to Egypt, you should definitely go. And, unless you are very adventurous and have lots of time, you should go with a tour company. (Why? There is so much to see; so many local rules and customs to know about; a huge possibility of missing something if you don't have a guide; and also the element of being able to really take in the sights, culture, and history without being worried about logistics.) Tree of Life is the tour company you should go with, and Yasser F. should be your guide. His English is impeccable; he will make you feel comfortable and safe; and most importantly, he knows his history and culture. Yasser is a gentleman, fun, and kind. He will ensure that your trip is great. Our guide in Luxor was Omar, and he was also fantastic. He made sure we saw everything we wanted to, and spent the entire day with us. from early morning until our 10 pm train. In short, don't hesitate to travel and tour with Tree of Life. Our tour was arranged through the hotel we stayed at - The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo. We met Rania on our first full day in Egypt and were lucky enough to have her guide us over the course of three days of a four day stay in Cairo. Rania was knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure we saw what we wanted to see and did what we wanted to do. She made sure we weren't bothered, taught us a small bit of Arabic, and led us on a journey through Egyptian history. The first day we visited the Citadel, including the Muhammad Ali Mosque, and Old Cairo. We were given a brief introduction to Cairo and Rania was more than happy to answer all the random questions my wife and I asked. Old Cairo was particularly interesting as we visited mosques, synagogues, and Greek Orthodox and Coptic Orthodox churches. We also got to see the Fortress of Babylon, which was completely unexpected. On the second day, we toured Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis. When we got in the car for the drive to Giza, I told Rania we absolutely wanted to ride a camel near the pyramids, even if it is a super typical tourist thing to do. She said she knew the person to take us to and told us the flat fee of how much it would cost - no haggling or bartering necessary, and watched out for us as we tried negotiating the Egyptian culture. For a couple of Americans, there are a lot of things that are / were fairly foreign to us and Rania alleviated the stress of figuring things out on our own. She also made sure people got out of the way so we could see the treasures of Egypt - something I would not feel comfortable doing on my own. During our visits to Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis, Rania displayed an intimate knowledge of the history and culture of Egypt - we learned a lot even though both my wife and I have done plenty of reading and watching about Egyptian civilization. On our last day, we were happy to see Rania again for a tour of the Egyptian Museum. Normally, my wife and I will tackle museums on our own even if we're in a foreign country and can't read the language. Audio tours and multi-lingual signs tend to be enough. However, we'd read that the Egyptian Museum really needs to be experienced with a guide and that sentiment is 100% correct in my mind. There are some labels, but we would have missed a lot without Rania's input and knowledge. Finally, on a personal level, Rania was an extremely nice person and was quite frank with us when we asked questions. She didn't shy away from topics like politics and religion when I asked about how things were in Egypt - she laid the truth out and I really appreciated that. She also warned us that younger people would want to take pictures with us for social media, which I found hard to believe, but was definitely true. I guess our pale skin made us stand out against the golden tone of many Egyptians. She's also, in spite of her humility, a fairly good photographer. She captured several great pictures of my wife and me in various settings. Truly, I would recommend Rania as a tour guide in all circumstances.
