Itinerary
First street of America
It is the only known residence of a member of the Christopher Columbus's family,[1] his first-born son Diego Columbus.
The building stands on the grounds of the former Presidential Mansion (Mansión Presidencial), built during the United States military occupation of 1916-1924.
Theater
Originally built in 1508 it is now the home of a very informative museum explaining the rich history of this island and the country of Dominican Republic. It also houses a collection of weapons once owned by the Dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina.
When you enter the cathedral you will feel a calmness come over you. Seeing the interior for the first time is a real experience. It is so quiet, relaxing, and overpowering and yet it has such a reverent feeling. Make sure to look up toward the heavens and notice the vaulted ceiling made to look like palm branches representing the original roof of the first church. There are many different chapels inside the large structure. The stained glass is magnificent.
is the oldest constantly inhabited city in all of “The Americas”. It is a small town nestled in the capital city of Santo Domingo on the most beautiful island in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic.
The monument is both a mausoleum and a museum showcasing objects including a boat from Cuba and Colombian jewelry. Constructed of concrete, the monument is 680 feet (210 m) long.[3] Its architecture is cross-shaped and represents the Christianization of the Americas.

Had a good time good tour with kp
Renee and Kevin were great tour guides. We enjoyed touring the city! They get 5 stars! I only am giving 4 stars due to the people we booked with at the hotel said it was a 2.5 hour drive…..between other hotel pickups and a stop halfway it ended up being 4 hours. Also, this was not a big deal to me but it was for be teens but they wanted more time at different points to take more instagramable pictures. 🤣
I had a great experience on this Santo Domingo tour! Our tour guide, Darius, was fun, energetic, and incredibly knowledgeable. He spoke three languages fluently and did an excellent job explaining the history of the Dominican Republic in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. A special thanks as well to our driver, who drove safely and professionally throughout the entire journey, making the long trip comfortable and stress-free. I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about the country’s rich history while having an enjoyable day. Definitely worth it!
Was organised good but the guide was nervous, unresponsive and in a bad mood, probably had a bad day but made everybody elses day a bit worse.
Our tour guide, Kevin, and our driver, Perez, were fantastic! Kevin was knowledgeable, organized, and always willing to answer questions and make sure everyone had a great experience. Perez was an excellent driver, and we felt safe and comfortable throughout the trip. We really enjoyed exploring Santo Domingo, learning about its rich history, and experiencing the local culture. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Kevin and Perez. They made it a memorable experience!
Kevin, our guide, shared knowledge almost the entire way from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo. While we were in Santo Domingo, he patiently provided the historical and insightful information regarding all of the sites. He was pleasant and joked with us on many occasions. This is our second visit to Punta Cana with at least 15 excursions under our belt, and he’s the top excursion guide that we’ve been around. Mr. Perez, the bus driver was a steady and dependable driver. They make a great team.
Very nice experience for the price. Very good information provided by the guide Kevin. Driver Pérez was super available, providing water to the passengers and always with kindness. I recommend taking the tour!
Kevin was very knowledgeable and this is the 4th time I have done this tour and learned new things. Perez was a great driver.
It was awesome and to see the monkeys was worth it. Bello and Angel was awesome
Excellent tour guide Kevin. Great driver Perez. Amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend
