Sultan Abu Al-Nasr Sayf ad-Din Al-Ashraf Qaitbay (Arabic: السلطان أبو النصر سيف الدين الأشرف قايتباي‎) (c. 1416/1418 – 7 August 1496) was the eighteenth Burji Mamluk Sultan of Egypt from 872-901 A.H. (1468-1496 C.E.). (Other transliterations of his name include Qaytbay and Kait Bey.) He was Circassian by birth, and was purchased by the ninth sultan Barsbay (1422 to 1438 C.E.) before being freed by the eleventh Sultan Jaqmaq (1438 to 1453 C.E.). Amazing Tour with a Great Guide

I had an amazing day exploring Alexandria, and a huge part of that was thanks to my guide, Mohamed Komaty. He is truly one of the best guides I have ever met. Mohamed is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about what he does. He explained the history and culture of Alexandria in a very engaging way and made every moment memorable. What I loved most is how he made the tour both fun and enjoyable—he has a great sense of humor and keeps the experience lively from start to finish. I felt very comfortable throughout the day, and his professionalism and hospitality really stood out. If you’re visiting Alexandria, I highly recommend requesting Mohamed as your guide. He made my trip unforgettable!

An unforgettable day in Alexandria

A great day with our guide Mohamed A. Komaty. He was always very attentive and kept sharing his knowledge with us, from the moment we left our hotel in Giza. The way he thought out the tour was very good and we were made to feel as friends straight from the start. I can only recommend his services. We got to visit the Katacombs, the Roman Theatre and the Library, and it was incredible.
