Beyond our expectations! Our guide Raina introduced herself the previous evening and met us on time to start our adventure. The tour itself was well managed and tailored to our needs and flexibility. The camel ride is an experience not to be missed. We were glad that the camels provided were healthy and well looked after, we were in 2 minds Wether we should do the ride as we saw a few if the camels in an appalling condition. Lunch was great and plenty. The girls had a grand time at the bazaar... thanks to Raina and Yasin for being kind and for a great tour
Dear travelers, The detail in your review that other browsers will care about most — and that we want to elevate plainly — is the camel welfare observation: "we were glad that the camels provided were healthy and well looked after, we were in 2 minds whether we should do the ride as we saw a few of the camels in an appalling condition." The Giza camel concession includes many independent operators, and the standard of care varies widely among them. Some animals are kept in genuinely poor condition, and a thoughtful traveler arriving at the plateau is right to hesitate. The reason our camels look the way they do is that we work with specific handlers whose animals are healthy, properly fed and watered, and not overworked beyond what an animal of that size can sustain. That decision costs more per ride than the lowest-bid alternative would, and we make it explicitly because the alternative is participating in animal welfare we wouldn't want our names on. The fact that you came in uncertain, looked at our animals specifically, and decided yes — that's the operational outcome we work toward. Two specific notes deserve their own response. First, Raina introducing herself the evening before is the pre-trip signature that most travelers don't realize matters until they don't get it. An evening message confirms timing, sets expectations, and turns "is this booking going to work" into "they have it handled" — particularly useful for a family with kids in the equation. Second, "lunch was great and plenty" — we want to flag this because we've heard the opposite occasionally (small portions, inadequate recovery break), and your note tells us when the calibration is right. Lunch on a full-day Giza-Museum-Bazaar program needs to be a real meal, not a snack, because the day's energy demand is real. We're glad yours landed correctly. Raina and Yasin will both receive your words directly. If Egypt ever calls you back, the natural next step from a Giza day is the Upper Egypt arc — Luxor, Aswan, Abydos — where Raina's Greek-Roman and Coptic specialties (Dendera in particular) extend the cross-era depth across more days. We had a lovely time visiting Cairo's sites. The guide was knowledgeable and happy to discuss any matter. The lunch of grilled fish was particularly nice.
I booked and fully paid for a Tree of Life Full-Day Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum and bazaar Private Tour. After I booked the tour, I changed my hotel to a hotel that was 300 meters from my old hotel (less than a four minute walk), so I sent a message to Tree of Life telling them that I changed my hotel and asking them to change my pick-up point. Tree of Life wrote back and told me that there would be a $25 surcharge. I wrote back and asked what the $25 surcharge was for since the hotels were next to each other, but said that I would walk over to my "old" hotel and be picked up there if that was why they were giving me a surcharge (both hotels were airport hotels that were on their "pick-up available drop down menu). Again, I asked what the surcharge was for. Two days after I asked what the surcharge was for, they responded with the message "what do you mean trying to charge you? this is not acceptable," and they CANCELLED my booking. Given that they 1) tried to charge me an extra $25 for something that I'd already paid for, then 2) refused to answer my question about what the extra charge was for, then 3) denied the extra charge even though the demand for extra money was in our string of messages, then 4) cancelled my tour, I cannot recommend this provider. They appear to be dishonest.
Shemaa was a fantastic tour guide, extremely knowledgable and accommodating. The tour was packed with activities, a memorable adventure.
My friend and I had such an amazing time on our journey through Egypt. Our tour guide Fatima had such an insane amount of knowledge, she was so friendly and helpful with anything we wanted. Our driver Mustafa was incredibly prompt and we never had to wait for anything. We were able to get to sites without having to wait through crowds. Fatima took us to amazing food and was so helpful to get us around and find things without them. Any security or providing tickets was explained well so we would feel really comfortable. The pyramids were so cool, all the history of Egypt was so interesting to learn about. We saw so many amazing things and I’m really happy we came here :)
We were in a group of 7 friends and Memo (guide) and Hany (driver) were very kind, patient and professional during our day in Cairo. Memo is very knowledgeable in Egyptology and Hany is a great driver. They are both great people who made us feel welcome! The lunch was delicious too!
This was a incredible tour with our great guide Mina Wasfy. He explained everything clear and it was a pleasure to be on a tour with such a capable guide. I truly enjoyed my time traveling to through Cario and Giza. I highly recommend taking this trip. Lunch was included and Mina took us to an incredible restaurant. Our tour with Zenab went beyond what we expected. She was very well informed and did her utmost to ensure we would see the Pyramids before the rain.
