Itinerary
Meet your friendly private guide in Cape Town and head west by air-conditioned minivan, travelling along one of the world’s must-do routes -- Chapman’s Peak Drive. Wrapping itself around the Cape Peninsula, this cliff-hugging pass cuts into the mountainside, with sheer drops down to the crashing ocean waves below. Hair-raising to drive yourself, Chapman’s Peak (if open - subject to weather conditions) is far better to experience as a passenger, offering some of the most indescribably scenic views that you’ll probably ever see.
After approximately 30 minutes, arrive at the Cape of Good Hope Reserve, part of Table Mountain National Park, for a leisurely walk with your guide. Following craggy stone paths along the headland, wander over to the Cape Point lighthouse to see the wild Atlantic waves lapping on the cliffs.
Continue to Cape Point, the narrow finger of land that marks South Africa’s southeastern tip, and with your guide walk through the beautiful Cape Point Nature Reserve. Keep an eye out for the wildlife that roams free along the coastal paths, like Ostrich, Antelope and lizards, to name a few!
Hop back on board your luxury minivan and relax on the journey north to Constantia Valley, known as Cape Town’s vineyard. On the way, pass the beach resorts of Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay, as well as picture-perfect villages like St James and Simon’s Town.
Stop at Boulders Beach, famously home to a large colony of African penguins, to have a look around independently. Entrance to the penguin reserve is at your own expense, but the free walkways next to the reserve also offer great viewing platform
Arriving in Constantia Valley in the late afternoon, head straight to Groot Constantia -- a historical wine estate that was founded in 1685. As fine as it is old, the estate is a joy to explore and you’ll do just that on a group tour of its fascinating wine cellars. End your tour on a high note with a wine-tasting session before returning to Cape Town.

Saving time and resulting in a truly hassle-free VIP experience. Thanks for recommending our tours and we hope to see back in South Africa soon... there's just so much more to see and explore! Keep'on adventuring, from Ferdi & team Hotspots2c
Amazing! Great tour guide, told us the history of the area, explained all the places we went very well, and was very friendly. We had a ton of fun and it was a perfect way to start our trip to Cape Town. We got to see so much and it was so awesome to do it with a tour guide all one day rather than trying to visit all of those places on our own.
Having a local guide at your side is simply the best way to travel in new territory, right!? Thanks for taking time to review your Cape Point & Constantia Winelands tour, we love it when a plan comes together. Keep'on adventuring - from Ferdi & team Hotspots2c
Our guide was ok but did not provide any added beneficial info. He was friendly but seemed to be in a rush and uninterested in providing a stellar experience.
Thanks Cindy for taking the time to leave your feedback about the recent tour. We’re sorry to hear that you felt your guide didn't add value to your day – we always strive to provide a stellar experience and have investigated this specific private tour. Your guide has worked for Hotspots2c for many years and customers usually love his fun, outgoing personality. He mentioned that it was a windy day but that he did stop for photo opportunities where possible. After you informed him that you were not interested in the included cellar tour at Groot Constantia, he suggested lunch options as an alternative. Our guests’ experience is our top priority, always. Once again we'd like to offer our apologies that your tour did not live up to your expectations. We did a full investigation and used the time stamps of our vehicles' satellite tracking at each stop to check if we could find a reason why you thought the tour was rushed. The drop off time for this tour was the usual full-day duration. Your feedback certainly helped us to ensure future tours are even better next time. All the best for future travels, and hope you kept the wine you bought on tour to think back of your time in South Africa when you reach home. Safe travels.

We can highly recommend this tour. Comfortable ride in air conditioned car, with our most knowledgeable guide, Andrew. Stunning views, mixed with plenty of photo stops and walks at Cape of Good Hope. Penguins were superb, well worth a visit. A wonderful tour finishing up at Constantia winery. Five sample wines to chose from a list of many with generous servings. Delicious! A special mention for Andrew who was such an excellent guide, and put up with my two rather badly behaved daughters with very good humour.

Amazing. The tour guide was so helpful and worked with us to customize our tour. Definitely recommend

Our tour was absolutely amazing! While all of the sites were spectacular, what really made the tour was our guide Ultrich. He was welcoming and explained all the areas we visited and answered our many questions. We really enjoyed the tour!

The Tour was amazing. The sights and wine where fantastic but the best thing was our tour guide Andrew..he was so friendly and his colourful stories really made the day....He was so helpful and dropped us off to Table Mountain even tough not on the itinerary. A day that will live long in the memory!

We had a great guide/driver called Eon, who from the outset made sure we had a 'tailor-made' experience. He found out our preferences and adapted the tour to suit. My Mum's mobility wasn't great and Eon looked after her so well, even staying with her while we went off taking photos and climbing hills!
The drive is spectacular, with great views, we visited the attractive town of Simonstown and the Penguins of Boulders Beach, then on to Cape Point which was great, and lunch at the restaurant there - 'Two Oceans' - which was delicious Eon reserved a table for us.
Finally we returned for an interesting tour of Groot Constantia Winery and a wine-tasting, which was pleasant enough.
All in all, a great success, and worth paying extra for the private tour.
