Itinerary

75 min

First, learn facts and figures about Austria, its people and their customs by starting the tour while driving on the highway.

Pass by

Melk Abbey - A Baroque Jewel- is the symbol of the Wachau Valley. Enjoy the view of its steep, terraced vineyards overlooking the Danube.

120 min

Driving time through picturesque Alpine region of Salzkammergut, famous for its beautiful landscapes, culture and a love of tradition. Salt from the heart of its mountains has brought affluence to the region - but its most valuable assets are the lakes. Even before we all became travellers in search of beauty and inspiration, the banks of its picturesque lakes have attracted writers, poets and emperors.

90 min

You will visit a heart of Salzkammergut region – a fabulous town of Hallstatt, lost among the high mountains on the shore of the lake with blue azure coloured water. This place is considered to be the main view of the Alpine Austria, but no picture can show a splendid atmosphere of this town and its original character. During your free time you can walk through the narrow streets of the town and admire magnificent views of the lake and huge mountains.

60 min

On the way to Salzburg we will prepare for your meeting with the capital of classical music. Once you know the history of Austria and understand its culture and customs, you will look at the picturesque streets and squares of the old city in a completely different way.

120 min

Salzburg - a cozy beautiful town on the banks of the Salzach river, made in the baroque architectural style, the world capital of classical music, the birthplace of the great Mozart and Karajan. You will have free time to walk through the Mirabel Garden and see the house where Mozart was born, the Salzburg Cathedral and one of the oldest monasteries in Europe - the active monastery of St. Peter. You can also leave our group tour here and to Vienna at your own expenses by train.

90 min

After embracing the cultural side of Salzburg, you'll start you way back to Vienna.

20 min

We will make a short coffee break at a quality restaurant on a highway, where you can relax and enjoy a comfortable rustic atmosphere and stretch your legs during your break.

120 min

On the way back to Vienna you will have a chance to rest and plan with the help of our driver your next free days in the Austrian capital.

Tour guide was great.

Our tour guide on the bus was very informative and kind. Our driver got us where we needed to go safely. Hallstatt and Salzburg are pretty. It is definitely hard to see all in one day. If you don't have much time, then seeing both in a day is the way to go. Be prepared if you chose hotel pick up that means you will be picked up and taken to the meeting location. But will not get a drop off ride. Be sure you know transportation system. We already had tickets for the subway so once we asked our guide, we were able to find the way easy. If we hadn't spent the day before learning to get around on our own, we wouldn't have been as confident. Only reason I was nervous was because our sim card wasn't working so we had to find WiFi at different locations to download a GPS map. Overall, great trip!

Awesome One Day Adventure

The driver/guide were great. I appreciated their strict rules for ensuring the trip was on schedule. We explored lakes, awesome views from bus. In addition the short stops ( I understand the need for the 2 hour stops, 3 hrs away from Vienna) were definitely worth the price. We saw a lot for a day’s trip. The bus guide was detailed with her information n instructions. The only tiny concern was the text I received asking for people to show up 30 minutes ahead of agreed time n then still left after the regular time. A little more organization is needed on that end. I would definitely travel with this team again!!!

“Special event celebration” is grossly misrepresented

“ special event celebration” option of this tour was grossly misrepresented. Description stated : “a special gift will be presented, please bring supporting documentation to prove that a special date is +~2 days before/after the tour. I even got an email asking to confirm what “special date” is being celebrated. In reality- don’t get your hopes high- all you will get is an ability to choose the seat in front of the bus as a “gift”.I booked this trip with “special event “ option to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday, trying to make it memorable since the trip was on his actual birthday. However, there was no acknowledgement, not so much as a simple announcement, no basic happy birthday wishes, literally nothing!! If you are looking for something special for your loved one- look elsewhere as you will get only disappointment. Aside from that, tour itself was ok organized, guide Lily was great and did her job well.

Way too much

You better be able to walk about 4 to 5 miles on this day trip. With the time they gave us at our first stop in halstatt we had to decide whether to eat or see the town. We decided on the town and it was beautiful! Once we got to Salsburg we thought we would have time to eat. However we were dragged on a fast paced walking tour in which our guide told us we had no time for pictures. Our main tour guide told us she would be behind us in case we needed to drop out. However, when it came time for us to say that's enough due to the pace and the heat she was no where to be found. So we had to keep going til the end. With the time we had left it was again not enough time to eat but we were able to get a quick snack. This was not an enjoyable trip and we were exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel

An Unforgettable Journey Through Austria's Scenic Beauty

The Hallstatt, Alps, and Lakes day trip from Vienna was an unforgettable experience with breathtaking scenery throughout the journey. The drive through the Austrian Alps and picturesque lakes offered stunning panoramic views and plenty of opportunities for memorable photographs. Hallstatt itself was charming, with its beautiful lakeside setting, historic streets, and peaceful atmosphere. The tour was well organized, and the guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and informative, making the trip both enjoyable and educational. I highly recommend this day trip to anyone visiting Vienna who wants to experience the natural beauty and cultural charm of Austria in a single day.
