Itinerary
The first stop in Florence will be Piazza Santa Croce. The centerpiece of this square is the Basilica di Santa Croce, one of the most important Franciscan churches in Italy. It is known for its distinctive Gothic architecture and is the final resting place for some of Italy's most illustrious figures, including Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, Niccolò Machiavelli, and Dante Alighieri.
Discover the wonderful Piazza del Duomo, the main square in the heart of Florence. It is renowned for its stunning architecture and is surrounded by some of the city's most iconic landmarks like the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore or the Giotto's Campanile. Here you will have free time to walk around the city and discover it on your own.
Walk over the Vecchio Bridge and discover the history behind the shops that line both sides. They are built on the bridge and have historically been used by merchants, especially jewelers and goldsmiths. The tents are suspended over the river and are supported by columns.
This spectacular temple from the 15th century is a Dominican church with frescoes by Gothic and early Renaissance masters.
Piazza della Signoria is the seat of civil power with the "Old Palace" and is the heart of the city's social life.
Did you know that it started by leaning in one direction and then continued to lean in the opposite direction? From here we will go back to the bus and start the journey to Florence
Commonly known as Il Duomo, this iconic cathedral is renowned for its distinctive dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, which is considered an architectural masterpiece of the Renaissance. It is famous for its red-tiled dome, the marble façade, and Giotto's bell tower.

- It is mandatory that children under 11 years old seat on a baby car seat. Amigo Tours can not provide it. Please bring your own baby car seat.
- Kindly note that the journeys between the cities will be by train, but when the size of the group does not allow a quality service, the activity will be carried out by bus.
- Please note that the order of the itinerary may change depending on the season.
- This tour has a very tight itinerary and the distances in the cities are great. We do not recommend it for people with mobility problems. The pace of the visit is demanding.
- You will enjoy Florence and Pisa at your own pace, but you can always count on your tour leader for any doubt or requirement.
- If you have chosen the audioguide option in Florence we will send you the instructions to download it when your booking is confirmed. Please note an Android (version 5.0 and later) or iOS smartphone is required. The one day trip from Milan to Florence and Pisa was great! We loved seeing the historical sites and monuments. Our guide Arlette was excellent. Her expertise in history and culture were outstanding. She even provided tips for places to eat which we enjoyed.

The experience was so so, I think the guide could be more emphatic with the team because there was people of different ages. Also she must ask if every one understood the instructions to avoid be in trouble.
