My Partner and I decided to come out on this dinner and show in the Agafay desert for our third Anniversary, and we had such a fabulous evening! Ismail, our driver - who was on time and prompt for our 18:00 hotel pick—up, was welcoming, kind, and great with communication, and he made both the ride into the desert, and back, very comfortable and relaxing (each way was around 50 mins from La Palmeraie area). The desert sunset vistas are so gorgeous with soft pastels in the sky and a lovely, balmy breeze! Our dinner was delicious and there was plenty for everyone to even help themselves to seconds. There was a chicken tagine, couscous, a tomato, sweetcorn, and olive salad, a more typical salad, yummy Berber bread, and lots of tender veggies - even some fresh fruits! And we all were given a bottle of water, and a 1 L bottle of Pepsi (for 2), and the lovely Moroccan mint tea It was divine! Then the real fun started (as we didn’t opt for the other tour options to go Quad Biking, or for a ride on a camel)! The show kicked off with a vibrant, joyous, energetic and rhythmic trio of male singers and they played their instruments beautifully, too! However, next, we were treated to a superb fire show by an immensely talented young man who swung his fire balls all around him - in every which way, and then breathed huge fire balls into the sky, numerous times. He closed out his fantastic performance with a spinning fire wheel - which was honestly mesmerising! Lastly, there was a chance to dance, riotously, with the musicians who played us out, wonderfully! Overall, it was a beautiful and very fun evening, and I’m so pleased we chose to do this to celebrate our anniversary!
