Tahannaout or Tahnaout is a town and commune, capital of the Al Haouz Province of the Marrakesh-Safi region of Morocco. It is located 34.5 kilometres by road south of Marrakesh, in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. There is a weekly souk on Tuesday.
Asni is a small town in the foothills of the High Atlas mountains, ca. 50 km's from Marrakesh, Morocco. It is connected to Imlil (17km) in Mizane valley by a paved road and to Ikkiss in Imenane Valley bij unpaved road. Weekly farmers souk on Saturday.
Imlil, Morocco, is a perfect place to escape into the Atlas Mountains. Compared to Marrakech, the region of Imlil is cooler and more tranquil. Imlil is a perfect destination for hiking in Morocco. For many hikers it is the start for climbing the highest mountain in Morocco: Jebel Toubkal. The valley around Imlil is suitable for easy walking to; for example to he Imlil waterfall.
We make a small walk of about 2,5 hours along the small Berber villages and to the small waterfall. Lunch will be served in a tradional local Berberhome.

The walk around imlil and the lunch at the house of the family. The grandparents had A Nice donkey to do the walk.
yes, this is a real nice trop to enjoy nature and culture outside Marrakech. And take care; the strong animals in the mountains are mules; a mix from donkey and horse; as strong as a horse and as agile as a donkey.
Special excursion, the group is usually small scale. There were two of us. Superb and welcoming and very tasteful in every way! Very friendly local guide. At his house therefore delicious food. I was a bit of a walker but they're doing their best for that too. Nothing is too crazy.

yesterday we had a great excursion with Radouane to the Atlas Mountains. It was a very varied day with a visit to the weekly market, a nice walk and lunch with a Berber family! Along the way beautiful stops with fantastic views and a camel ride for those who want. Radouane was a very caring guide and he shared many personal things about growing up in the mountains. Highly recommended!

We had the opportunity to put together this individual trip with highlights ourselves. It was great. The visit to Radouane's family home was also warm. The meeting with the brothers and the parents was also very special. We really appreciate it. The snow was unexpected but magnificent, delicious. Thank you also for the equipment provided not requested but afterwards much appreciated. Next time in Marrakech we will definitely join the other tours.

We really enjoyed Imlil. From the intense fizz of Marrakech to the nature of the atlas mountains. What a friendly people! Highlighting dinner at the family of Radouan our guide home. We had a nice and varied private tour. To the market, hiking, village viewing, good food and a camel ride in a beautiful valley. It's really a hike so bring good shoes. The guide always asks if you want a short or longer route so it is doable for everyone. Radouane is a very sympathetic guide who already speaks English but always wants to learn new words. It is very nice to be out of town and spend a day in the beautiful mountains!

The guide (Radouane) text us a day before the trip, and asked us if we need something special for the day. We already appreciate his message. The day of the trip they pick us up on the right time and place. The taxi driver (Saïd) was a very friendly man. We really loved this trip and the personal guide (Radouane) he was so nice and dediqated to his Job. He was open en he has a lot experience about the atlas mountain and the rest of the trip. If you wanne do a road trip we definitely recommend Radouane. Its was a day we will never forget.
