Itinerary
In the morning meet the guide in Bucharest. Leave the city on the route to Sinaia. Visit the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the kings of Romania. The Peles Castle is 44 kilometers away from Brasov in Sinaia, a well-known mountain resort as well. Nowadays the Castle is one of the most important museums in Transylvania where one can admire furniture and ornamental objects, carpets, tapestry, sculptures, paintings, and a weaponry collections from the 15th up to the 19th century.
Bran castle. Also called Dracula`s Castle, it is situated not far from Brasov (25 kilometers) at the entrance in the Bran – Rucar passage. The first documentation about Bran Castle appeared in 1377. Throughout history, the Castle had a strategic mission of acting as a border between Transylvania and Wallachia. First it was under the rule of the King of Hungary Sigismund of Luxemburg, then under the Romanian voievodes Mircea cel Batran and Vlad Tepes and later on it came under the jurisdiction of the City of Brasov. In 1912 it was donated by the municipality of Brasov to the Romanian royal family and so it became their residence.
Enjoy free time in Brasov and admire the town's houses built in the Renaissance, Baroque, Provincial and neo-Classic style. Explore the medieval fortress of Brasov, formerly one of Europe's most secure fortresses. See the preserved old wall, the Black and White Towers and the Weaver's Bastion. Also, learn about Catherine's Gate, situated near the Schei Gate in the western part of the fortress and its 4 little towers symbolizing the medieval right of life and death over the vassal's lives.

The trip was excellent and very well organised, from pickup point in Bucharest until our return back. Otilia and the driver were excellent guides. She is very knowledgeable, witty and gave detailed insights into Romanian history, culture, economy and nuances about the people . Very insightful tour. It gave me a better understanding of my former Romanian colleagues with whom I worked with for over 8 years. I now know how to bond and socialise with them and potential future Romanian friends. I’ll recommend this tour to anyone.
This tour operator is cheating with entrance tickets, and not replying to emails with concerns after the tour. Therefore this review - I suggest you book with another operator. The tour guide advises to get tickets from him on the day. One castle - Peles - is sold out, so he suggests to see another one. I paid him 175 lei, but it turns out that the entrance to that castle is just 30 lei. The Bran castle was supposed to be a guided tour, and we again paid 175 for entrance, but there was no guide, and the actual entry cost was 100 lei. There are different prices depending on how much of the castle is included, but we paid as if we got a guide and everything included, but it was a self-guided walk with no guide and neither torture chamber to another additional add-ons were included. I (and everybody else on the tour) feel cheated, and the tour operator has not asnwered to my emails about this.
Bad experience, no hike, they didn't show up at the meeting point, they didn't even show up and vanished into thin air. We had to pay for another tour
Gentile Ritardataro, Abbiamo ogni giorno piu di 3 bus che partono dallo stesso posto. Inviamo sempre il giorno prima del tour la targa del bus, il nome della guida, l orario, l'indirizzo preciso, il pin di gmaps. Lei deve semplicemente arrivare in tempo e salire a bordo. E molto semplice se legge la mail e non arriva in ritardo.
We participated in this tour, but the experience was compromised by poor management. Please note that we have accumulated a delay of about 10 minutes at the meeting point of the first stage (Castle of Peles), due to a route error. The guide, Elena, contacted us and we immediately communicated that we were coming. Despite this, the bus left without us, leaving us in place without any indication or assistance. While we were trying to figure out how to proceed, we met other guides present at the Castle of Peles, who confirmed that the situation was unacceptable and that they too were waiting for participants who accumulated delays much longer than our 10 minutes. In any case, we take responsibility for our delay; everything else is the sole responsibility of Elena and the agency. Afterwards we tried repeatedly to contact the guide (about 50 calls and 20 messages), without receiving any response. To try to rejoin the group, we took a taxi at our expense to Brașov. Although it was possible to provide directions on the meeting point, Elena did not give us any information, making any attempt to return difficult. In the total absence of communication, we went to the police. Only following a call from them did the guide respond, stating that he would contact us to provide directions. Such contact never took place. The reunion with the group took place exclusively by chance, meeting the guide on the street. Only then could we locate the bus. Please also note that we boarded the bus about 30–40 minutes after rejoining as the other participants were still enjoying their free time. The time to provide a simple meeting point was therefore present. The initial delay is our responsibility. However, the total absence of communication and subsequent assistance is a significant criticality in the management of the service.
The visit was nice and the guide explained us well BUT we were charged the sum of 775 lei instead of 175 for entrances to the castles of peel and stretch. Since then, it has been impossible to reach them and therefore to be reimbursed! I'm waiting for them to come back before filing a complaint with the Romanian police.
Dear Sarakie, You are asking to pay just a fraction of the tickets: 175 lei for 3 persons is 25 euro/adult for both Castles that is almost a half of the official prices. We are sorry but we organize only tours and not charity events to travel or visit for free.
We had a great trip. The details with our guide’s name and the registration number for the bus arrived by email the night before our trip which made it easy to find. The commentary was in English and Vlad, our guide, was very informative. The castles were beautiful and we enjoyed the scenery.
THEY'RE A SCAM. Our guide SILVIA has asked us to visit the castle of pelesor and the castle of bram 200 lei per person (40€). the tickets cost at the box office 30 lei and 70 lei (20€ in total). when I have told her she replied that the rest (100 lei) are charged by her to explain what is seen in each castle. there are several people who bought the ticket at the cheaper box office (a group of 6 girls), and have received the explanation. so we have told her and she has been offended. He cashed it all in so he wouldn't leave evidence. I think it's a scoundrel. On top of that, in the app they offered you to see the castle of peles, which is worth 100 lei, and they take you to the one of pelesor because the one of peles is closed, but they charge you the same being cheaper. I RECOMMEND NOT BOOKING WITH THESE SHAMELESS
From the very beginning, the morning roll call was extremely unprofessional! At the first attraction, we had agreed to meet in front of the souvenir shop at 11:42 am. I was already waiting there at 11:40 am, but they left early without any notice! I kept waiting until 11:58 am, realizing something was wrong, and kept sending emails to the tour operator. However, they did not respond in time. I kept waiting until 12:45 pm before finally understanding that no one was coming back to get me! They literally abandoned me 180 kilometers away from the city center, leaving a young woman to find her own way back alone! They never contacted me at all! This was beyond disappointing—I strongly do NOT recommend this travel agency!
This tour was not a good experience for us. We had Vladut as our guide, a man who was very unpleasant as soon as he arrived at the meeting point. He did not greet us and remained standing by the bus door.It was another guide who was there who told us to get on the bus. Vladut just checked our names off a list, and that was it. Then, on the bus, his first reaction was to tell us that the route had changed and that we would not visit Peles Castle that morning. There were three of us who approached him and told him we had tickets for the morning, but he said there was nothing he could do, that it was not his problem. Vladut only spoke for five minutes at the beginning of the visit, stammering and leaving sentences unfinished because, according to him, he could not find the words because he had not had his coffee. When we got to the places we were going to visit, he didn't talk much either, and it didn't matter what he said. Finally, in the afternoon, we arrived at Peles Castle just at closing time and instead of rushing to ask to enter, he stopped us to tell us that he had 3 important things to tell us, he was referring to the 3 cafeterias that are outside the castle. In conclusion, we were not able to visit Peles Castle and learned nothing about the history of the places we visited. I do not recommend Vladut as a guide or Trip2Ro as an agency.
their sales methods and price labelling are illegal in Japan and some other countries. The time spent at Perez Castle, Brasov and Bran Castle was adequate and the guides were knowledgeable and helpful. The bus drivers were also safe and reliable. However, the booking page states that entrance fees for each castle are not included. Furthermore, there is an unknown item listed as included in the tour price: 'local guide on the bus'. In addition, the day before the tour, we received an email stating that a local guide fee of EUR 10 and an entrance fee of EUR 20 (100 leu) to Bran Castle were required. This meant that the local guide fee outside bus boarding hours, the entrance fee for Bran Castle (70 leu) and the ticket fee would be collected on the day of the tour. This means that the total cost of the tour is almost double the selling price when the 'local' guide fee and ticket fee collected on the day are added.
Dear Sarakie, The tickets are not included and this ingormation is clearly reported on the product page. You have payed 15€ wishing to receive 12hours tour with tourguide and the entrance tickets and maybe two meals? Please don't consider that you can buy the whole Romania with 15 euro.
