Kevin was amazing. It was truly a local experience, a good amount of food, and incredibly affordable. Me and my sister did the whole tour for less than $100 (tour and food for both of us) which is considerable cheaper than any of the other options we could find. We got amazing recommendations from Kevin for the rest of our trip and feel like we made a real friend. Would highly recommend to everyone.
Kevin was lovely and shared both great anecdotes and history around the food. We got to experience what felt like the actual food and drink culture of Dublin alongside the classics. 10/10 would reccomendation
We thoroughly enjoyed walking through Dublin absorbing some interesting history about various sights. Sampling the recommended food was great as we tried various drinks and food and bought as little or as much as we wanted. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour.
This was our first time to Dublin and first food tour experience. It was great! Kevin is very knowledgeable about Dublin and his recommendations of the local street food were exactly what we were looking for. Definitely recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys local street food.
Kevin was a man of the people, phenomenal tour guide! We had a great time on our tour and we even had our 9 month old with us! Highly recommend!
Tracey gave us more than we bargained for - great group came alive under her enthusiastic approach. The teens/young adults were charming, polite, and everyone talked and visited. It was truly fun and memorable.
Really fun tour with a colorful local named Tracey who lived in the neighborhood. Had some great food and learned a lot too. There’s a lot of food on this walk so you can skip lunch after. Most stops we split the snacks.
I like the setup where you order purchase your own food, because people have different tastes and dietary requirements. There were some interesting stories. But I left the group about halfway into the tour because it was so far mostly about Guinness and whiskey. The vibe was not for me. Other participants appeared to be enjoying it. Possibly I would have found the second half of the tour more interesting, but I was not willing to continue. After my original, less carefully worded three-star review, an irate Kevin called me (!) to complain that my review “wasn’t fair”. We discussed for nine minutes. Then he called me again at 1:30 a.m. (actually 2:30 my time, and obviously I didn’t answer) and texted me at 1:52. For real? I stand by my right to leave the group early and still have an opinion. Read multiple reviews and make of them what you will. If you are interested in Guinness and whiskey, this tour might be for you. It wasn’t for me.
Hi, Of course you are entitled to your opinion on our tour. We were simply surprised you felt you had experienced enough of the tour to warrant leaving a review, as you had only attended 1.5 stops. We were also disappointed at the words you choose to use when describing it in your original review. We appreciate you altering them. We were also surprised as when Kevin asked you if everything was alright, or if he could help improve your tour experience, you said “it’s a really good tour, I’m enjoying it, but I thought it was going to be more about architecture”. I’m sure you can understand our confusion after your comments. If you had been able to express your feelings to us, we would have tried to explain the tour more fully for you. You also mentioned expecting to hear about Irish culture on our tour. Whether you personally like to drink Guinness & Whiskey or not, this is a large part of Irish culture and particularly in the area the tour takes place as both have traditionally been made there (and still are today). These drinks industries have provided jobs for locals and reared families who have formed the culture, personality and heart of this part of the city for centuries. At the start of the tour we tell a couple of stories related to this to provide context for the neighbourhood we are showing you around. Had you chosen to stay on the tour, you would have heard other local stories that may have been more “your vibe”. We’re sorry to hear the tour was not for you. We hope you managed to find others things in our lovely city that were more to your liking. Kind regards, Aoife & Kevin
Kevin is great. It’s not just a food tour. Wear good shoes. Come hungry but don’t over indulge at the beginning .
Thanks for the great review! Delighted you loved the tour - absolutely, so important not to peak too soon, need to keep some space for all the delicious food along the way! Thanks for joining us! Sláinte, Kevin & Aoife
Simply the best tour we've had while traveling. Kevin shared amazing Dublin history and the best food. He suggested things and places to go for the rest of our trip. We followed his advice and had a wonderful vacation. Thanks, Kevin!
