We will make a 15 min. stop at Dale Village where you can enjoy some coffee and local snacks or use the toilet. Very cosy town to experience. They also have a shop with great selections of yarn and knitted sweaters.
15 min. stop at Tvindefossen Waterfall. Standing tall at an impressive 116 meters (381 ft), this natural wonder is more than just your average cascade. Fed by the Kroelvi stream, it dramatically tumbles over a receding cliff, showcasing nature's raw power and sheer beauty. What makes Tvindefossen one of the best waterfalls in Norway isn't just its height or the mesmerizing water flow; it's the legends and history that envelop it, giving this spot a mystical aura. You might chuckle at first, but there's a local legend that has turned into quite the talking point.
Nestled at the very end of the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord in Norway lies the picturesque village of Gudvangen, inviting you to explore the wonders of nature and history that define this unique destination. Gudvangen, embraced by massive, towering mountains of the Nærøydalen valley, is a place where past and present converge, and the beauty of the natural world envelops you at every turn. Here you have the possibility to have a lunch in the village. Cruise leaves at 12:10 pm.
2 hour cruise through Nærøyfjorden. The narrow and spectacular Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep valley sides and snow-covered peaks that rise 1,800 metres above sea level, with thundering waterfalls and picturesque villages along the fjord. Regardless of the season, a cruise on the Nærøyfjord will be an unforgettable experience. The two vessels Vision and Future of The Fjords represent a brand-new standard in design and technology. They have been designed to maximise the tourist experience during any kind of weather, with large windows and walkways inspired by the winding trails of steep mountain terrain. Passengers are encouraged to go out on the top deck and enjoy a very different experience compared to traditional passenger vessels. We will arrive in Flåm.
Flåm is the most popular village around the Aurlandsfjord, and one of Norway’s most popular tourist destinations. The village has had a history of tourism dating back over 100 years, to when rich, British tourists would come to the fjords to fish salmon in the rivers here. Flåm is small, with around 400 inhabitants. However, in the high season, we sometimes have over 10’000 visitors in a day! As you can tell, it can get quite busy, as Flåm is not only a popular place to stay and visit, but also the starting point for many of the tours and activities in the area.
From Aurland, we will start the amazing climbing to the top of the Stegastein viewpoint. Stegastein has a unique and spectacular viewing platform that hangs 30 meters from the mountainside, 650 meters above the fjord, and offers an unparalleled panoramic view. The road from Aurland to Stegastein is part of National Scenic Routes in Norway. We will have the opportunity to take picture and go at the platform and see the amazing view.
Flåmsbana train(R45Myrdal) From Flåm you will take the famous Flåm railway to Bergen. The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal station. The journey features the finest aspects of the stunning scenery of Western Norway. Over the course of one hour, the train takes you from sea level at the Sognefjord in Flåm to the Myrdal mountain station, situated at 867 metres above sea level. Myrdal is also a station on the Bergen Line, meaning the Flåm Railway connects with trains running between Bergen and Oslo. The Flåm Railway is one of the steepest standard gauge railway lines in the world, with 80% of the journey running on a gradient of 5.5%. The train runs through spectacular scenery, alongside the Rallar Road, vertiginous mountainsides, foaming waterfalls, through 20 tunnels, and offers so many viewpoints that, for many people, a single trip up and down is not enough.
In Myrdal you will change trains, which is the end stop of the train leaving from Flåm. The next train called (R40Bergen) goes directly from Myrdal to Bergen at Spor 11 (Track 11). On this train station you can buy water/soda and they have toilet facilities. You will arrive at Bergen Train Station. Train from Flåm goes at 6.25 pm and arrive in Myrdal at 7.20, then you change trains in Myrdal at 7.26 (only 6 min waiting before the next train) and arrival in Bergen is 9.33 pm.
The train from Myrdal will take you back to Bergen train station.

The trip up to the view point was NOT WORTH IT. We travelled by minibus up and back to the view point from Flåm. It was supposed to be by train, but some how the train tickets got over booked and our tour package did not get the train ride. The high point of the trip was the fjord cruise (2 hrs). We had plenty of stops for food and toilet, but it was a lot of time in the minibus with very poor inside temperature control.
Everything was exceptional. From the ease of checking in, to the comfort of the small ‘bus’ , to the friendliness and knowledge of our guide, we can highly recommend this excursion.
Had Stig as a Tour Guide he did a phenomenal job, very punctual., very informative, kept things moving. great scenery and stops. Train ride back to Bergen is long but scenic i Highly recommend the tour.
Our guide Brandon was excellent and made the trip. It's a long day but the scenery is amazing and everything was well organised.
Our Fjord tour was from Bergen was very enjoyable. It was a small group tour (~12 people total) and our guide was nice and knowledgeable. The sites were amazing, particularly the cruise and the Stegastein viewpoint. It is a great way to spend a day outside of Bergen.
This was an exceptional tour! Comfortable bus, guide shared great insights about the area, made some extra stops at special places. Everything was top notch! Definitely recommend this!
The highlight of our Norway trip! Incredible views, route and experience. Our guide, Stig Andersen, was incredible. I did not expect to learn so much about Norway’s culture and history; and Stig’s guiding, stories and jokes made the trip one of the best tours I’ve ever been on anywhere. Highly recommend this exact tour with the same guide.
Excellent tour! Highly recommend! This was a perfect tour to do many things in the short time I had in Bergen! Our guide Steig was amazing. He was super knowledgeable, charismatic and made the drives to different places enjoyable telling us about Norway. It’s a long day, but there is plenty of time to relax and enjoy the sites on the bus, cruise and trains. Such gorgeous landscapes and so many waterfalls! Plenty of stops for restrooms and food too, and it didn’t feel rushed at all.
I can’t say enough good things about the tour we took with this company. We chose their full day, 13 hour comprehensive tour that included a minibus with guide, a gorgeous two hour fjord cruise, the Stegastein overlook, and the famous Flamsbana one hour train trip. The company was very organized, with helpful email reminders before the trip. It was easy to communicate with them with questions. They stuck to a detailed schedule, which was helpful and reassuring. (Our guide ended up adding a couple of wonderful stops that were not on the itinerary). The minibus was extremely comfortable. Our group was 13 people; their maximum for this trip is 15. Besides the drop-dead gorgeous scenery, what really made this day unforgettable was our guide, Stig Andersen. He spoke perfect English and was super knowledgeable about so many aspects of Norway, not just the areas we were visiting. He had a great sense of humor, and was kind and helpful to everyone. This is not an inexpensive tour, but we felt it was worth every penny.
This was a wonderful day tour to hit the highlights in this area! Everyone in my family had a different favorite activity of the day including the fjord cruise, scenic overlook, exploring Flåm, and the Flåm railway. Our guide, Thomas, was great and made the day an overall unforgettable experience.
