First Night Prague Food Tour: Perfect Spots Curated for You

Description
Just landed in Prague? We've got your first evening covered. This isn't a typical food tour. Four Czech-owned spots in Old Town, zero tourist traps, and portions generous enough that you'll leave fully fed. We've handpicked every stop: the unique beer hall locals actually drink at, the family-run restaurant with no English menu, the bistro that's been here forever. You'll taste beef with dumplings, delicious goulash, Czech beer or wine, and desserts you won't find at the tourist market stalls. But honestly? The food is only half of it. You'll also get the crash course in how Prague works — where to eat tomorrow, what to skip, which neighborhoods matter, how to order beer without looking like a tourist. We keep groups small so it feels like dinner with locals, not a crowd following a flag. Want it private? We do that too — same spots, your own guide, your own pace. By the end of the night, you'll know the city well enough to explore confidently the next day. Which is exactly the point.

We had an excellent food tour in Prague with Jakub! Easy all around from booking, communicating before the tour, and finding our meeting point. Tried some delicious Czech cuisine and had some great conversation about Pragues history and recent growth. Highly recommend this tour and ask for Jakub :)
I couldn’t have booked a better activity for our first night in Prague. I attended with my 12 year old son 3 hours after arriving in the city. This tour was the perfect way for us to get acquainted with the Old Town, learn more about Prague, and keep moving to push through our jet lag. Our guide, Will, was knowledgeable and welcoming. He made sure my son felt included and comfortable, made sure my food sensitivities were accommodated, and included information on Czech wines as I unfortunately don’t drink beer. I highly recommend this tour, and to request Will if you can!
We're so glad to hear that you and your son had a fantastic time on the Private Prague Food Tour! It's great to know that Will took such good care of your needs and made the evening memorable. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope to see you again in the future! Warm regards, Selen & The Prague City Adventures Team
Excellent guide, highlighting traditional Czech cuisine. The group size was perfect, allowing for conversation and effortless socializing during the 4 hour evening tour. Nikola provided us with a recap of the restaurants we visited and a personal map of her favorite spots. Thank you for a fantastic evening!

Experience was very good, our tour guide Jakub did a great job and showed us some great spots throughout the city. 10/10 would recommend!
We really appreciate your kind words! It's amazing to know that Jakub was able to enhance your experience with his knowledge of the city. We hope to see you again! All the best, Selen & The Prague City Adventures Team
We had an absolutely wonderful time on this tour. Our guide was Jirka, AKA “George.” George was really a wealth of knowledge on not only the local food but also the history of Prague. He was kind enough to give us a lot of background on the city and recommendations of things to visit as part of the tour. What makes his perspective even more valuable and interesting is that he grew up in Prague during the Soviet occupation. So George grew up behind the Iron Curtin. We visited 4 different spots on the tour. We enjoyed traditional Czech open faced sandwiches, goulash, dumplings, roasted chicken and trout. At each stop we enjoyed beer or wine, non alcoholic beverages are also available. The tour ended with delicious gelato. You will not need to have dinner before this tour, make this your dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. For those with any food allergies or dilatory preferences, the tour can accommodate those. If you’re heading to Prague this is a great way to begin your trip.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Sean! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your Private Prague Food Tour with Jirka and that you found his insights into the local food and history valuable. We hope you had an amazing time exploring Prague! All the best, Selen & The Prague City Adventures Team
A great, relaxed tour. We visited some hidden gems that we would have never found otherwise. And excellent recommendations from our guide who curated everything to our tasters. Certainly worth the price and would go again.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It's so nice to know that our guide made the tour special by tailoring it to your tastes. We look forward to seeing you again! All the best, Selen & The Prague City Adventures Team
Our food tour with Jakob was fantastic. He is personable and knowledgeable about Czek food and we had a most enjoyable evening. Having food allergies, I was thinking that I would miss out of a number of the dishes, but Jakob made sure the food was ok with me. I really appreciated his care. The variety of foods was wonderful and afterwards, he sent us the list of what we had eaten as well as some recipes! Highly recommended!
This was a very nice tour of Prague's food scene. One of the most lovely aspects of the food tour was that our guide, George (Jiri) gave us a list of places he suggested to visit for food after the tour. I visited one of the places the very next night and it really helped me find the food that suited me. Prague can be a difficult place to eat if you find certain foods too heavy or rich, so this was a good resource to finding something different. George loved to tell stories and I felt like I got a good understanding of his life in Prague which I appreciated.
Prague was the favorite city we visited during our Viking Cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest, extending into Prague. Just like most everyone we encountered throughout our Prague visit, Jakub was friendly, relaxed, always smiling and pleasant. His communication in English language is excellent. He is truly proud of his city and his heritage. We walked around the city over a few hours, even boarding a boat anchored at the river to try some local brews and food. The food and beverages were very good, and filling. The walking was not in the least bit tiring, but we received explanations of history and architecture throughout the city that was not covered on a separate private city tour. Anyone seeking a taste of Prague, through its food and drink, as well as culture, can be assured that Jakub will provide a very strong impression of Prague. We will see you again, Prague
Jakub was excellent. He was personable, provided so much information about the local cuisine and local history, and worked hard to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves. We had a great time.
