Great way to see the amazing Madeira landscape.

Our family booked this private jeep tour and loved the experience. Our guide Carlos was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and pleasant. He was happy to answer all our many questions. We found the tour flexible; our guide was happy to give more/less time at some of the stops according to our interests. We swam in the natural rock pools, walked through the foggy Fanal forest and had lots of stops for beaches/coffee.

West Madeira 4X4 Tour

We were not very sure of going on this trip but was the only trip that offered a trip to Porto Moniz, we are so glad we went. We started at view point of Paul De Torre and Câmara de Lobos, Cabo Girão skywalk, and drove the outback to Seixal beach, Riberia De Janela and stopped in Porto Moniz for lunch and swim. Then we headed to Fanal forest, drove past Paul da serra and ended with a short stop at Ponta do Sol. Our guide Mateus was very knowledgeable and explained lots of things on our drive, along the history of the places and where to eat. He told us about the festival in Porto Moniz and to try the food there, which was amazing. Mateus made our trip even more enjoyable and we cannot thank him enough for this memorable experience. We hope to return soon.

So out of place

After driving through mountain areas you come across an area like the New Forest. Ponies, cows, gorse, little pools. A good size free parking area. Very busy though. Worth a look
