Alice was a wonderful tour guide of the village farm. It was eye opening seeing the plants where okras and snake beans come from. Alice was a very thorough chef instructor when guiding my husband and I through four different recipes using the hand picked farm produce. It was much appreciated how we are able to savour each dish immediately after completion. The regular top ups of our glass of iced tea was a thoughtful touch from Alice given that it was a very humid day! She also accompanied us to the Cu Chi Tunnels in the afternoon giving us a good overview into the historical relevance of the site. Thank you Alice for a wonderful day!
Excellent from beginning to end. Alice picked us up at our hotel right on time and then explained about the farm and cooking class during the drive. We spent about 45 minutes on the farm,learning about and picking, fruit, vegetables and herbs for cooking. We cooked 4 dishes with time to eat. We received certificates and the recipes. Everything was extremely fun, perfectly organized, lovely and delicious. Highly recommended!
Entertaining and exceptional day with Chef Alice. The farm is well thought out with wide variety of herbs and vegetables. Class menu was excellent. Easy to understand and do. End result was very tasty. A day well spent.
I cannot recommend the HCM Cooking Class highly enough! This was undoubtedly one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Vietnam. If you're looking for an authentic, fun, and delicious culinary experience, look no further! From the moment we started, our experience was fantastic, largely thanks to our incredible host, Alice. She is truly a gem—so super enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and made the whole process incredibly engaging and fun. Her passion for Vietnamese cuisine is infectious! The cooking itself was a dream. The dishes we prepared were not just good, they were absolutely delicious! Every bite was fresh, vibrant, and bursting with authentic Vietnamese flavors. And for the grand finale? The dessert was an absolute knockout! The banana spring rolls with coconut cream ice cream were a total flavor explosion (a total bombshell)! What a way to finish a perfect meal. I now feel confident recreating these wonderful dishes back home. But the real, unforgettable bonus was the visit to the organic farm. It was a truly amazing experience! Walking through the lush gardens, learning about the fresh ingredients, and seeing where our produce came from added such a deep layer of appreciation for the food. It made the entire class feel so much more connected and special. This class is more than just cooking; it's a full cultural immersion. Huge thanks to Alice and the whole team for an incredible day. This was, without a doubt, the highlight of my trip to Vietnam! The food we prepared was not just good—it was absolutely magnificent. Every single dish was bursting with authentic flavors. Our chef and guide, Alice, made the entire experience unforgettable. She is genuinely the kindest person in all of Vietnam! Her teaching style was engaging, fun, and incredibly informative. She took such care to explain the ingredients and techniques, and her passion for Vietnamese cuisine was infectious. The grand finale was the Banana Spring Rolls—what a revelation! They are, without question, the best Vietnamese dessert I have ever tasted. It's a must-try, and Alice's recipe is a definite winner! The second part of the tour, a visit to the historic war tunnels, offered a powerful and moving look into Vietnam’s history. It was a very insightful and sobering experience that provides essential context for understanding the country today. The contrast between the gravity of the tunnels and the joyful, vibrant cooking class actually made both experiences more meaningful.
In was nice to leave Ho Chi Minh City to visit an organic farm. Our guide and instructor Alice picked us up from our hotel in the city and then guided us through so off the farm. We collected produce for our meal and then cleaned up to prepare our multi-course meal. My husband is an experienced cook but he still learned a few things and everything we made was delicious.
Alice did a great job showing me around the organic farm then picking the herbs and veg that we were going to cook. Alice explained things very well and we made 4 dishes. Enjoyed the meal we made. Alice is a good teacher.
Highly recommended! My 3 friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the organic farm tour (and learning the benefits and uses of the herbs, fruits and oyster mushrooms) and cooking session with Alice! She is the admin, coach captain, tour guide and the CHEF! Super bubbly and highly energetic lady! Totally lifted our spirit throughout the whole experience from 730am-2pm. Very detailed in her explanation, encouraging and always smiling even when she’s perspiring so much from the heat. She has an interesting way to introduce the steps in the preparation for dipping, salad and marinating sauces. We have no problem in communication as she’s excellent in English too. We were all good chef under her instruction and the food we prepared was so yumz! Thank you Alice and team and keep up the good work! 👍🏻
A memorable and very rewarding experience The adventure begins with a discovery of the garden, then after very clear explanations we take part in a cooking class or each to all the equipment at his disposal We make the dishes ourselves under the supervision of the chef and we enjoy our meal prepared by us with quality ingredients. I had ann exceptional experience at this farm with the chef Linh!! This cooking class which comes with your own organic vegetable harvesting is something very special that you cannot find elsewhere in HCM. The chef Linh is very joyful, knowledgeable, professional, and kind person and I was able to ask every questions I had about the vietnamien cuisine, and I left the farm with confidence in continuing the vietnamien cooking at home by myself. Selecting and picking your own green papaya from a tree, several kinds of herbs, and mushroom at the farm with explanation was eye opening, and cooking and eating them in the middle of the farm was a true delight!! I want to thank the chef Linh for his patience, his joyful presence, and especially for the clarity of his explanations. His thoughts and methods were articulated, and very clearly transferred, so I could understand the essence of the balance of the tastes in vietnamien cuisine. This will allow me to find the alternative ingredients when I am back home in France! Many thanks for all the efforts for this experience!!
