We had an absolutely incredible experience with Delicious Athens! This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. Our guide, Doug, grew up in Athens, and you could immediately tell how passionate he is about his city. He was hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable, and made everyone in the group feel welcome from the very beginning. It felt like exploring Athens with a local friend rather than being on a tour. The tour was perfectly paced with a wonderful mix of walking, history, culture, and, of course, amazing food. We explored the Central Market, wandered through streets we probably never would have discovered on our own, and never once felt pressured to buy anything. Doug made it clear that the stops were simply to experience local products, and if we wanted to come back later, we could just grab a business card. That made the whole experience feel relaxed and authentic. The food was outstanding from start to finish. We sampled incredible olives, local cheeses, honey, spices, traditional liquors, and so many other Greek specialties before finishing with a delicious lunch overlooking the Acropolis, followed by dessert. Every stop introduced us to something new, and everything was thoughtfully chosen. If you’re visiting Athens, do yourself a favor and book this tour early in your trip. You’ll discover amazing local businesses, learn so much about Greek food and culture, and leave with a list of places you’ll want to return to during your stay. What a delightful evening tasting with Duke! We had the chance to sample so many local delicacies, visited specialty shops, and learned so much about the regional, historical and mythological background behind Greek cuisine. We finished the evening at a lovely sit down dinner with a view of the Acropolis and waddled away totally stuffed! Many thanks for a really memorable, tasty and charming experience!

Great experience with a ton of food! Family operated tour we went with the son and it was obvious he loved Greece, Greek food and Athens!

Tour left promptly, easy paced walking. Introduced us to others on tour which was warm and welcoming. Variety of different experiences, shop owners were engaging and Douk was fantastic. Lots of great tips for spices, olive oil , honey and olives. Shared great parts of Athens and her family. Food choices were abundant and delicious. Well worth the price. .

My wife and I booked this food tour during our honeymoon, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our time in Athens. This was a fantastic tour. Julia and George were excellent hosts. Julia shared information, stories and insights based on her life experience growing up in the immediate vicinity, her longtime attention paid to the local businesses, food, and knowledge of the Greek products from different areas. She was delightful as she had us experience a spice shop, honey shop, fish mongers, an olive oil and Ouzo vendor and more. She was conversational and happy to answer any questions our group had on any topic. George was in the constant background to move us along smoothly with all our tastings, culminating in a beautiful cheese plate followed by dinner! I highly recommend this outing.

This food tour was wonderful - we have taken many food tours in many cities throughout the years and this one was the absolute best. This food tour might cost a bit more than others, but it is worth every penny. Some of the venues were high end and were already set up specifically for us. The stops were all non-touristy and we tried so many different authentic dishes - all very flavourful and delicious. The food is plentiful - make sure you arrive on an empty stomach. Anthi was our guide - she is very warm, personable, attentive and knowledgeable. She described each food we were sampling in such a manner as though she had prepared it herself. This tour is also very educational since it covers Greek culture and history. We highly recommend this tour.
