You have the opportunity to discover the everyday life of the Imperial Age and imagine the panic of the people before the city was so disastrously buried. Pompeii covers a large area and this 2-hour guided tour gives a good insight into significant features.
Our tour guide, Elisa, was amazing! From the moment we walked through the gates she told us what we could see with a very engaging mix of humour and knowledge. She took us to all the best spots and told us many of the stories behind the ruins and had answers to any questions our group had! There was points within the tour where she let us go and wander for 5/10 minutes in places where there was a lot to explore but most of the tour was in our group of 11 which I think was a perfect size after seeing some other tours whilst we were there in huge groups. Thank you for making exploring Pompeii so enjoyable and bringing the history to life!
The tour was great and very informational! The only complaint was the tour was a half hour late which messed up our car service for pickup!
The guida name Alex was wonderful in Pompei, Is the best guide, he maked attention on the story of Pompei with happiness and Joy, with very very special attendono on detailes on DOMUS AND ON STORY. All guests were Happy during the tour. It was the best. Thank you. michela e Daniele from Udine
Interesting presentation by guide, although we didn’t get to see the House of Fauna. Guide was 15 min late and once there, our group had to wait an addionnal 45 min for the tour to start. Excuses were given such as ’delays in getting tickets for site’ (which should have been done before as guests had to pay ahead! No sign withnames of guests or ’business’ name available so we haad to search around for the tour operator. No apologies given!! Never again with Project Napoli Service. Very disappointing.
This was great. Our guide spoke great English and we were able to hear her the whole time because of the personal speakers everyone wore. She was extremely knowledgeable and we are so thankful we booked through this tour.
It was advertised as a group of 25 and instead it was a group of about 50. To large to enjoy the ruins. The guide was knowledgable just wish it was a bit smaller.
Our tour guide Maria took us back in time to experience the original Pompeii. She brought the ancient town to life and tickled our imaginations as we walked thru the dusty streets.she pointed out the meanings of the tiny details that were hidden in plain site. One of the best tours I have ever taken. I highly recommend this tour… and Maria.
Pros: - The guide was knowledgeable with enthusiasm. -Ruins are incredible. Cons: -The meeting area was insanely disorganized. -Overwhelmingly crowded. Literally cattle. -Rushed. -The guide could speak English but with a very thick accent which made understanding difficult to hear through a headset in a busy area. I took it off 30 minutes in and just walked around with the group because I spent more time trying to decipher her than enjoy the view. -We were not taken to the museum with artifacts. You can go but we didn't get a tour there.
We had a great guide. She was very informative and funny. The ruins were spectacular. Very well organized.
