Explore the Saigon Delta

Luc was a great tour guide of the Saigon Delta, the lesser known but very important area. We not only learned a lot about the people and culture through the markets but also saw monkeys on the way to the remnants of the war base in the deep mangrove forest.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed exploring the unique Saigon Delta area with Luc. It’s wonderful to know that the tour gave you a deeper understanding of the local people, culture, and history, while also creating memorable moments with the monkeys and the mangrove forest. We truly appreciate your support and hope to welcome you again for more experiences in Vietnam!

Monkeys are awesome

It takes time to get there and back but overall great experience. Take canoe on the way back - it's worth it.

The trip was great. The guide was great, he tells you what is important and doesn't talk too much, which is great. I highly recommend it

It was a fun day! We were...

It was a fun day! We were able to feed the monkeys. But 2 people in our group had their glasses stolen by the tricky monkeys! We also fed crocodiles. The mangroves were amazing!

Don’t miss this trip

The trip didn’t start well. They were an hour late collecting us. Nearly cancelled. Don’t let that put you off this was a “don’t miss” experience. From the ferry crossing to the drive into the mangrove forest the trip got better. Then a fabulous lunch followed by a speedboat trip and then row boat trip deep in the forest to where the fruit bats hangout. Then things got even better. Feeding the crocodiles was a once in a lifetime experience but even that was topped by the visit to monkey island. Truly amazing. Great guide and driver and the inauspicious start was quickly forgotten. Don’t miss this trip!!!

How close it is to HCMcity, yet completely different

The mangrove forest is peaceful and full of life. Monkey Island was lively and fun, but I also loved learning how important this area is for protecting Vietnam’s coastline. Between cheeky monkeys, fresh seafood, and lush green views, the day had a bit of everything for nature lovers.

A boring tour

The experience is not very interesting, because of how it went, it's more of like a car ride with a driver and a helper to the driver. Information is very limited from the guide and seems he is not very much interested in doing his job.

Into the Can Gio Mangroves

The Can Gio tour was an unexpected adventure! The mangrove forest is stunning, filled with wildlife and serene waterways. Visiting Monkey Island was so much fun – the monkeys were playful (sometimes a bit mischievous!), and it was amazing to see them in their natural habitat. We also spotted other animals like wild crocodiles and colorful birds. The guide was knowledgeable, sharing a lot about the unique ecosystem of Can Gio. If you enjoy nature and don’t mind a bit of excitement, this tour is a must.
