Market visit was good, concise and informative. Cooking was excellent. We learnt not only about the ingredients but how to respect them proportionately. Then sharing a meal with those you cooked, can't get any better, you appreciate the food more. Great for adults.
Had a fantastic time learning about the ingredients the culture of cooking and then hands on cooking, Dung was very friendly and insightful and to top it off we got to have a fantastic meal
The menu was so well put together and the preparation was so well explained.
Dear Nichole, Thank you very much for your great reviews and we are looking forward to your kind recommendations. Always remember your charming smile. Wishing you all the best Ms. Ngoc Dung
The Chef, Mia was very knowledgeable and talked about differences in food and cooking styles in the regions and the meal cooked was delicious. Great for families, couples or if you’re on your own. At the end of the lesson there was time to eat and have a lovely chat with Mia. Recommend. Thanks Mia 💕
What a wonderful chef Ngoc Dung is. Her passion for cooking is shown in how she teaches her class. It was amazing. The food was excellent. I really enjoyed myself and wish that I was in Saigon long enough to go again to cook other foods. I would highly recommend taking this tour because you also get to go to the market to learn about some of the food that the Vietnamese use. The knowledge given is worth every dollar.
Thank you very much for your great appreciation and kind recommendations. Enjoy your trip in Vietnam and all our best wishes to you. Faithfully yours, Ms. Ngoc Dung
It was great fun to go to Ben Thanh market and then cook a full meal with the help and advice from chef Quy. Perhaps a full afternoon was quite a long session for us, since we had travelled in the morning to Saigon from the Mekong delta. Despite the tiredness, we were held in there and were blown away when we tasted our own creations at the end!
A fantastic morning that started when we met with our chef at the market, where we first learned a little about the local spices and foodstuffs. After that we continued to the center where we learned some classic dishes as well as a little about how to make beautiful decorations of vegetables. After that we ate the food and we were given detailed recipes, so we can try it at home 👍 The staff speaks good English and are very sympathetic so we can only recommend the place. Thanks for a great experience 🙏
We had a private cooking class for two with chef Quy starting at the Ben thanh market- wow! We saw and learned so much about local produce especially the abundance of variety in this country!! Back at the cooking school we learned many techniques as well as how to prepare a delicious three course meal that we then enjoyed eating. Chef Quy was an absolute delight-a professional who shared her expertise with humour and kindness. We highly recommend this cultural experience - through food and the art of cooking we gained such insight to the Vietnamese lifestyle . We are excited to prepare and share these new recipes - which we were given - with our family and friends in Australia.
This was a great introduction to Vietnamese cuisine starting at the local Market and learning about the different fresh produce herbs and spices and meat and fish. We then returned to the culinary school and spent time watching our fabulous MasterChef Quay and then preparing our lunch . We made a salad spring rolls and made a caramelised fish and prawn dish with fresh pineapple to finish . It was absolutely delicious and fun .
What an incredible experience from start to finish! We began by meeting our chef at the local market, where we explored and discovered the cultural ingredients and unique flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. From there, we moved into the cooking class and prepared a delicious curated menu together. Every step was engaging, fun, and full of flavor - leaving us with not only full stomachs but full hearts as well. A huge thank you to Kim for generously sharing your talent, knowledge, and warmth. I highly recommend a cooking class with Mai Home to anyone wanting to elevate their culinary curiosity and add some spice to their cooking skills.
Thank you very much for your valued reviews and your kind rating. We are so happy that you are satisfied and enjoyed well our cooking class. Thank you for your recommendations and wishing you all the best! Ms. Ngoc Dung
