In 1537, the city’s old Roman aqueduct was rebuilt, bringing clean water to the marble fountain in the Praça do Giraldo and other public spaces in Évora.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Rui on a private tour of Évora and the Alentejo region, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. We booked a last minute day tour from Lisbon to Evora with RM Cesar tours. The car was very comfortable and the trip out to Evora was very smooth.
