Essaouira Full Day Trip
Description
This coastal city situated in the Atlantic ocean is inhabited since prehistoric times and was known as one of the most important trading harbors of north africa. The tour starts by picking you up from your accomodation, then make few stops on the road Once at Essaouira, the driver will drop you off and then during your day trip to Essaouira from Marrakech, you can visit by yourself a few places as mentionned on the activity details. You can have your lunch in Local restaurants which is between 8 to 10€ depending on your budget. Later, you'll meet our driver on the pick up point that you agreed for the pick up to get back to Marrakech at the early evening.

You'll have a quick stop of 10min to see the goats climbing the trees for food as they eat the argan nuts which is a very good ingredients for them and which makes the goat meat in this region one of the best in Morocco due to what they are feeded. People there live on donations, if you want to give them something you're free, if not you're not obligated.
You stop by a restaurant, for coffe or toilet break.
You'll have 2 major stops depending on the time spent driving and the traffic on the road. - You'll see how Moroccan handcraft cosmetic products are made by berber women - You are free to enter or not, it comes back to you - You'll take shots of the Goats climbing argan oil
Essaouira city as a coastal city, located on the atlantic coast and very known for its monuments.
We suggest you to go to this area as this is one of the best things to see in Essaouira, where all fishermen meet with their little blue boats.
The beach is amazing, you can get here for a walk, feets in the water, an amazing feeling, as the water is always around 18°C, or you can use the beach as a Solarium where you can relax and get a sun bath specially in summer.

Organisation was ok, the driver very kind, but the van had no working AC, which was difficult due to the very hot weather.
Essaouira is a pretty fishing port. Levpousdonxis sold as soon as it arrives. People are friendly. The architecture is beautiful
Place you shouldn't miss visiting, you'll regret it, we did it in one day back and forth, if you can stay one night. Because you would not have hours to finish seeing everything (The Medina that is infinite, Skala de Ville, in the fortress was filmed one of the scenes of games of thrones, the port with live/fresh fish and they cook it grilled right there. The Transfer great, air conditioned and with rest stops, as it is a long journey.Essaouira
A highly recommended excursion is the one for Essouira from Marrakech, with pick-up directly from the hotel. The place is simply wonderful from both a natural and historical point of view. And with a medina full of little shops where you can buy all kinds of handicraft items. The comfortable van that accompanied us, equipped with air conditioning and comfortable seats, then took us back to the hotel at the end of the day. Everything went great...
Nice town, good food and great environment! A good escape from the city. The driver was punctual and the time spent there was just enough. Would definitely recommend it.
Trip was fine. Town is quaint and 4.5 hours is plenty of time. Disappointing there are no longer goats climbing the trees, this info needs to be removed from the advertising.
Superb day with our driver Abdoul, very professional and very good driving. We were able to enjoy the 4-hour visit to Essaouira which is a change from Marrakech.
The tour was a good experience. We left on time. We had just one stop at a restaurant to go to washrooms and get water and snacks. Next stop was at the Argan oil co-op. We did not stop at the other stop mentioned in itenary ;to see the goats on argan tree. Essaouira is a beautiful city. Definitely deserves it's own day. The market is beautiful and it has a very different charm.

As already explained the GOATS are a part of the trip but in case they're not there due to the harvesting season, authorities intervention, any other factor, in this case we can not do much as we do not own them. The stop is a part of the trip of course and there 1 way leading to ESSAOUIRA in case we'd have skipped them you'd have seen them on your right side of the road, which is not the case. The driver arrived at our hotel right on time. We were escorted to an air conditioned mini van that drove us to see the goats and the argan oil production. Essaouira is lovely and definitely worth a visit for the day. The driver was incredible and even sang for us on the way back! We made new friends, memories and enjoyed the trip. Yes it’s a bit hot on the bus but it has AC and it was totally bearable. Lovely experience.
Too many stops; making the day too long. Just drive straight to the Women’s Coop, then Essaoira. That’s it.
Thank you for your feedback. The stops are mandatory and an obligation by the Moroccan law every 1:30 almost and also when we drive straight to ESSAOUIRA we finish up receiving complaints.
